My last feels was kind of a downer, but I'm feeling better now. The folks I know are safe and sound and life is alright, all things considered. My next semester starts in about a week. I'm looking forward to it. For now, I'm just trying my best to relax. I'm working part-time in the mornings and it's a nice bit of consistency. The other student worker left at the end of December, so now I'm the only one, and after Friday, this entire department will be just 3 people (including me). I kinda enjoy how chill it is. This week I wrote a script to automate some stuff and it was cool, because I don't do Actual Code very often in my position. Just a simple php thing, but my boss said it worked well and I'm glad that I did something. I enjoy writing lil scripts to automate repetitive, highly specific tasks. It feels like I *did* something, I guess. I started therapy a few weeks ago, and it's been interesting. I know mental health isn't something you can speedrun, for lack of a better word, but ... I guess I wasn't sure what I was expecting? It feels promising, though. It's nice to just... talk. And have someone point out when the negative self-talk takes over.
