2025-04-22 - Dumb phone

Hey, it's already april of the year twenty-twenty-five.  That is 
amazing. Time is flying by.

A while ago, i purchased a nice Nokia3310 at the second hand store, 
and i've used this as a replacement for my Nokia108. And i am quite 
pleased with the 3310. 

It was funny to realize that the 3310 lacks quite some of the 
features that its newer sibling (the 108) has. For example, the 
calculator on the 3310 is a bit harder to use (due to the lack of 
the four-way joy-pad the 108 has)

Also the 3310 can't show a calender (as far as im aware), and the 
alarm clock can only be set to a single time. On the 108 you could
set multiple alarms, and configure which days the alarm would ring.

Now these are all minor things, but it is quite funny that i didn't 
remember these things, until i was using the 3310 as my daily driver.

Anyway, now i've gotten used to it a bit more. And i am quite keen 
on this chunky little brick-of-a phone. And even at around 25 years 
old, it's working flawlessly still as well.

Nice that these old-fashiony things keep working, like Nokias, 
Gopher and books.

Talking about books; Currently just started reading "The Circle" by 
Dave Eggers, and wondering how that will develop...

Also, another oldie thing; DVD's! I mentioned a while ago i started 
watching "Heroes" on the little portable DVD player i got. And i 
watched season 1 and 2, which were alright; But couldn't watch 
season 3, because i couldn't find a dvd box for season 3 in the 
second hand shop for a while.

Well, recently i found a dvd box with season 3 (already had season 
4). Turns out i wish i hadn't. Man, season 3 sucks quite a bit, and 
lasts forever...  And actually, season 4 also wasn't great. It felt 
like a chore to watch the dvd's.  So yeah, now im fed up with DVD's 
for a while i guess. :D

Signing out again for a bit; The experiment to use the internet as 
mimimal as possible is still ongoing. (And i am still failing at it 
XD at times.)

But just wanted to write a small phlog to indicate im still alive, 
and that gopher and this tilde.team server are still fab!
