* Exported from MasterCook * Apple Pudding Recipe By : Eloise Griesmeyer Serving Size : 9 Preparation Time :1:00 Categories : Desserts Puddings Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 c Sugar 1/4 c Shortening 2 md Eggs 1 c Flour 1 ts Nutmeg 1/2 ts Cinnamon 2 c Apples -- peeled & diced, - Jonathan or Rome Beauty 1 c Walnuts -- chopped 1 ts Baking soda 1/8 c Water -- hot Mix together sugar and Lighter Bake. Mixture will be crumbly. Add eggs & mix at low speed until blended. Stir together flour, nutmeg & cinnamon, and add to sugar mixture, blending well. Stir in apples & walnuts until all coated completely. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and stir into batter. Pour into greased & floured square baking dish and bake at 375°F until a knife inserted near center comes out clean, approximately 35 to 45 minutes.
