MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Italian-Style Chicken & Peppers Categories: Poultry, Cheese, Sauces, Vegetables Yield: 4 Servings 2 c Meatless pasta sauce 2 ts Olive oil 1 md Brll pepper; fine chopped 4 oz Cream cheese; softened 4 Chicken breast halves - (4 oz ea); boned, skinned 1/4 ts Salt 1/8 ts Pepper 4 sl Mozzarella cheese Set oven @ 425°F/218°C. Place pasta sauce in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave, covered, on high for 3 to 4 minutes or until hot, stirring halfway through. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add green pepper; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until tender. Transfer to a small bowl; stir in cream cheese. Arrange chicken in a greased 13x9" baking dish; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Spoon pepper mixture onto chicken. Pour warmed sauce over top. Place cheese over sauce. Bake, covered, 25 to 30 minutes or until a thermometer inserted in chicken reads 165°F.
