MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Apple Stuffed Pork Chops Categories: Pork, Fruits, Vegetables, Herbs, Breads Yield: 6 Servings 1 tb Onion; chopped 1/4 c Butter 3 c Soft bread cubes 2 c Apples; fine chopped 1/4 c Celery; fine chopped 2 ts Fresh parsley; minced 3/4 ts Salt; divided 6 Bone-in pork loin chops - (1-1/2" thick & 7 oz ea) 1/8 ts Pepper 1 tb Oil In a small skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. Remove from heat; add the bread cubes, apples, celery, parsley, and 1/4 ts salt. Cut a pocket in each chop by making a horizontal cut through meat almost to the bone. Sprinkle inside and outside with pepper and remaining salt. Spoon stuffing loosely into pockets. In a large skillet, brown chops on both sides in oil. Place in an ungreased large baking pan. Cover and bake @ 350°F/175°C for 30 minutes. Uncover; bake 30 minutes longer or until a thermometer reads 145°F. Let meat stand for 5 minutes before serving.
