* Exported from MasterCook * Swiss Style Green Beans Recipe By : Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Green Beans Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 tb Onion -- grated 7 tb Margarine 2 tb Sugar 1 ts Salt 1 ts White pepper 2 c Sour cream 8 oz Swiss cheese -- grated 16 oz French style green beans 1/2 c Corn flakes -- crushed Lightly saute the onions in 4 tb of the margarine, and stir in the flour, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Blend well. Stir in the sour cream. Cook until thick, stirring occasionally. Drain the green beans and add to the sour cream mixture. Pour into a buttered casserole. Top with Swiss cheese. Melt the remaining 3 tb of margarine, then stir in the corn flakes. Spread over the top of the cheese. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes This may be prepared in advance and refrigerated, but it is better if you prepare the corn flake mixture when you are ready to bake the dish. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
