                           Mexican Cornbread #2

   1       c            Corn meal
   1 1/2   ts           Salt
     2/3   c            Butter -- melted
  16       oz           Can whole kernel corn -- drained
     1/2   lb           Cheddar cheese -- grated
   1       ts           Baking powder
   2                    Eggs
   1       c            Sour cream
   4       oz           Can chopped green chilies
  
  Heat oven to 375°F and prepare a 9x9" greased baking dish. Mix dry
  ingredients. Make a well in the center and add beaten eggs, sour
  cream, and butter. Blend thoroughly and fold in canned corn. Pour
  half the batter in pan, cover with grated cheese and chiles, and
  add remaining batter. Bake 30 to 40 minutes.
