* Exported from MasterCook * Golden Cornbread Recipe By : Annette Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :1:00 Categories : American Breads Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 c All-purpose flour 1 c Yellow cornmeal 1/2 ts Salt 1/3 c Sugar 4 ts Baking powder 2 Eggs 1/3 c Butter -- melted 1 c Milk Heat oven to 425°F. Grease an 8x8" pan. Combine flour, corn meal, salt, sugar, and baking powder in mixing bowl. Add eggs and butter to milk. Beat with rotary beater until blended. Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients. Beat with rotary beater just until blended. Do not over beat. Pour into prepared pan.
