* Exported from MasterCook * Tulsa Fire Department Chili Recipe By : Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Chili Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 lb Ground beef 1 md Onion -- chopped 2 tb Chili powder 1 ts Ground cumin 1 ts Salt 2 cl Garlic -- crushed 21 oz Beef broth (2 cans) 2 c Canned pinto beans 8 oz Can tomato sauce 1 tb Flour or more 1/4 c Water Brown the meat and onion and pour off grease. Add chili powder, cumin, salt, crushed garlic, broth, and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add pinto beans and simmer 15 minutes more. Thicken with a small amount of flour paste, dissolving 1 tb flour in 1/4 cup water. Serve over cooked spaghetti or plain with crackers. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
