Champ Chili Recipe By : Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Chili Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 tb Butter 2 Jalepenos -- up to 3, chopped 2 cl Garlic -- up to 4 cl, crushed 2 lg Onions -- up to 3, sliced 3 lb Sirloin or fillet steak -- - up to 4 lb, diced 1 pn Oregano Olive or peanut oil 1 1/2 oz Chili powder -- up to oz 28 oz Can tomatoes 3 1/2 c Water -- up to 4-1/2 c, or - as needed Cayenne -- to taste Secret Ingredients: Sherry wine Blackstrap molasses Corn meal mush -- with: Water -- made into a paste Salt & pepper -- to taste Cumin powder Worcestershire sauce Saute peppers, garlic, and onion in butter. Add worcestershire sauce and cumin to taste. In Dutch oven or large skillet, brown meat chunks along with oregano and chili powder. Add first mixture (onions, etc), tomatoes, chili, and water as needed. Bring to a boil rapidly, while stirring constantly. Reduce heat to very low while stirring, and add secret ingredients to taste.
