* Exported from MasterCook * Sure.jell(R) Strawberry Blueberry Jam Recipe By : Sure Jell Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : To Post Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 cups prepared fruit* 3 1/4 cups sugar 1 box SURE.JELL Fruit Pectin *(Buy 3 pints fully strawberries and 2 pints fully ripe blueberries.) RINSE clean plastic containers and lids in boiling water. THOROUGHLY crush strawberries, 1 layer at a time. Measure 2 1/2 cups into large bowl. Thoroughly crush blueberries, 1 layer at a time. Measure 1 1/2 cups into strawberries. MEASURE sugar into separate bowl. (Scrape excess sugar from cup with spatula to level for exact measure.) Mix 1/4 cup sugar from measured amount and fruit pectin in small bowl. Stir fruit pectin mixture into strawberries gradually. Let stand 30 minutes; stir occasionally. STIR remaining sugar gradually into strawberry mixture. Stir constantly until sugar is completely dissolved about 3 minutes. Pour quickly into prepared containers to within 1/2 inch of tops. Wipe off top edges of containers; cover with lids. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours. Jam is now ready to use. Store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks or freeze extra containers up to 1 year.
