* Exported from MasterCook * Southwestern Fiesta Hot Chocolate Recipe By : Jo Anne Merrill Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:10 Categories : Beverages Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 c Cocoa 1 tb Unbleached flour 1/4 c Dark brown sugar -- packed 4 c Milk 3 Cloves -- whole 1 Cinnamon sticks -- broken 2 tb Powdered sugar 1 1/2 ts Vanilla Whipped cream 4 Cinnamon sticks Mix cocoa and flour in 2 qt saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, milk, cloves, and 1 cinnamon stick. Heat just to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Do not boil. Remove from heat; remove cloves and cinnamon. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat with wire whisk or hand mixer until foamy. Pour into 4 cups or mugs.
