                                 Aquavit

   3      Rounded Tsp   Caraway Seed
   1      Fifth         Good Quality Vodka

Work the caraway seeds in a mortar for a few minutes. The seed only has
to be cracked a little.  Add the seed to the vodka and shake well. Let
stand for two weeks in a warm but not hot area.  Strain with cheesecloth.
 If seed particles remain, strain through filter paper.  This has a
slightly brownish color due to seeds being used rather than oil of
caraway which is used in commercial Aquavit.  My husband loves this and
we make it quite regularly.
