                               Taco Spread

  16      oz            Cream cheese -- room temperature
  16      oz            Sour cream
   1      pkg           Taco seasoning mix
                        Picante sauce
     1/2                Lettuce head -- finely chopped
   2                    Tomatoes -- finely chopped
                        Cheddar cheese -- shredded

Mix cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth and lump free.
Mix in taco seasoning to taste. (We like about 1/2 packet.) Add
picante sauce to taste, mix well. Take mixture and spread it out on a
platter. Sprinkle lettuce, tomato, and cheese over the top. Serve
with nacho chips.
