* Exported from MasterCook * Scallops A La Schaller Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Appetizers Seafood Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 lb Bacon -- cut in strips 2 lb Small sea scallops 1/2 c Olive oil 1/2 c Dry vermouth 2 tb Parsley -- chopped 1 ts Garlic powder 1 ts Black pepper 1/2 ts Onion powder 1 ds Oregano Salad greens Wrap 1 bacon piece around each scallop; if necessary, secure with wooden toothpick. Place wrapped scallops in baking dish. Combine olive oil, vermouth, parsley, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder, and oregano in small bowl. Pour over scallops. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Remove scallops from marinade. Arrange on broiler pan. Broil, 4" from heat, 7 to 10 minutes or until bacon is brown.
