* Exported from MasterCook * Spinach-Cheese Swirls Recipe By : Pepperidge Farm Serving Size : 5 Preparation Time :0:35 Categories : Appetizers/Dips/Hors d'Oeurves Cheese Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 package puff pastry sheets (1 sheet) -- thawed 1 egg -- beaten 1 tablespoon water 1/2 cup Monterey jack cheese -- shredded 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese 1 green onion -- chopped 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 1 10-oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach -- thawed and drained PREHEAT OVEN TO 400F. Mix egg and water and set aside. Mix cheeses, onion, and garlic powder and set aside. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Brush with egg mixture. Top with cheese mixture and spinach. Starting at one end, roll up like a jelly roll. Cut into 20 (1/2") slices. Place flat 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Brush tops with egg mixture. Bake 15 minutes or until golden.
