* Exported from MasterCook Mac * Italian Cheese Terrine Recipe By : Christmas with Southern Living, 1996 Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Appetizers Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 lb provolone cheese -- thinly sliced 2 3/4 ozs pesto sauce -- jarred 3/4 lb salami -- thinly sliced 3 tbsps Italian salad dressing Marinara sauce -- for accompaniment Place 1 slice of cheese on a large piece of plastic wrap; spread 1 tsp of pesto over cheese. Top with 3 slices of salami (do not stack salami). Brush salami lightly with salad dressing. Repeat layers, using all ingredients and end with cheese. Surround stack with a few sprigs of thyme if desired. Fold plastic wrap over layers, sealing securely. Place a heavy object, such as a small cast iron skillet on top of terrine. Cover and chill at least 24 hours or up to 3 days. Remove plastic wrap to serve terrine. Cut into wedges, using an electric or sharp knife.
