* Exported from MasterCook II * Tomato Cheese Round Recipe By : Janet Baker Serving Size : 24 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Appetizers Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/3 ounce salad dressing 1/4 cup green onion -- diced 1 tablespoon diced green pepper 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 24 each cherry tomatoes 6 slices rye bread Combine cheese, mayo, onion, green pepper and seaonings. Toast bread lightly on just one side. Using a small biscuit cutter, cut bread into 4 slices. Slice cherry tomatoes by slicing off top and bottoms of each one. Spread untoasted side of bread rounds with a little mayo, top with a tomato slice, mound one teaspoon of cheese mixture on the tomato. Sprinkle with some paprika, if desired, and broil till bubbly.
