                      Gingham Dog & Calico Cat

                        Cat Blend:
   2       oz           Dried pennyroyal
   1       oz           Dried catnip
   1       oz           Chamomile
   3       dr           Peppermint oil
                        Dog Blend:
   2       oz           Dried pennyroyal
   1       oz           Dried thyme
   1       oz           Dried wormwood
   3       dr           Pennyroyal oil

  Each ounce of dried herbs is equal to about 2 cups.
  
  Use whole or cut herbs. This mixture can be refreshed by adding
  fresh oil from time to time.
  
  Make small sachets for small, tidy pets, or stuff the whole amount
  into a large denim pillow for larger, itchier animal friends.
  Pennyroyal is especially effective as a flea repellent.
  
  The photo in the magazine shows a gingham bag and a flower-print
  bag. Both have the top edges pinked, and are tied with ribbon.
