                     Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

   1      c             Chocolate chips
     1/2  c             Shortening
  10      oz            Pkg marshmallows
  50                    Toothpicks

Place chocolate chips and shortening in 2 cup measure. Microwave at
50% or Medium 1 to 3 minutes or until chips are shiny and soft. Stir
until smooth. Insert pick in top of each marshmallow. Dip into
chocolate to cover completely. Set on wax paper. Let stand until
firm.

Variation:

Coconut, nuts, and candy sprinkles. Dip into choice while chocolate
is still soft. Makes great treats for parties.
