MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Copycat Wendy's Chilli Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Beans, Herbs, Chilies Yield: 12 servings 1 md Bell pepper; chopped 2 md Onions; chopped 1/2 c Celery; chopped 1 tb Vegetable oil 2 lb Ground beef 56 oz Diced tomatoes (2 cans); - undrained 8 oz Can tomato sauce 1 c Water 2 tb Worcestershire sauce 2 tb Chilli spice mix 1 ts Garlic powder 1 ts Dried oregano 1 ts Salt 1/2 ts Pepper 16 oz Can kidney beans; rinsed, - drained 16 oz Pinto beans; rinsed, - drained In a Dutch oven or large soup kettle, saute green pepper, onions, and celery in oil until tender, about 5 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add beans. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes longer. Serve with toppings as desired.
