MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Chick-Fil-A's Chicken Tortilla Soup Categories: Poultry, Breads, Vegetables, Chilies, Herbs Yield: 8 Servings 2 tb Olive oil 1 lg Onion; chopped 4 oz Can chopped green chilies 2 cl Garlic; minced 1 Jalapeno; seeded, chopped 1 ts Ground cumin 15 oz Can tomato sauce 14 1/2 oz Can diced tomatoes with - garlic & onion; undrained 5 c Chicken broth 1 Rotisserie chicken; - skin removed, shredded 1/4 c Fresh cilantro; minced 2 ts Lime juice 1/4 ts Salt 1/4 ts Pepper Tortilla chips; crushed Optional: Monterey Jack or Cheddar; - shredded Avocado Jalapeno; sliced Lime wedges In a Dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat; saute onion until tender, about 5 minutes. Add chiles, garlic, jalapeno, and cumin; cook 1 minute. Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, and broth. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Stir in chicken. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Add cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Servings with chips and desired toppings.
