MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Chilli Beef Pasta Categories: Beef, Pasta, Herbs, Chilies Yield: 6 servings 1 lb Lean ground beef 2 tb Dried minced onion 2 ts Dried oregano 2 ts Chilli spice mix 1/2 ts Garlic powder 1/8 ts Salt 3 c Tomato juice 2 c Water 6 oz Can tomato paste 1 ts Sugar 8 oz Uncooked whole wheat small - pasta shell or spirals Tomato; chopped, for garnish Jalapeno peppers; sliced, - for garnish In a Dutch oven, cook beef over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles; drain. Stir in seasonings. Add tomato juice, water, tomato paste, and sugar to pan; bring to a boil. Stir in pasta. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 20-22 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally. If desired, top with chopped tomato and jalapeno slices.
