* Exported from MasterCook * Saucy Shrimp and Pasta Recipe By : Better Homes & Gardens New Dieter's Cookbook Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Pasta Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 oz Thin spaghetti 14 1/2 oz Italian style stewed tomatoes 4 ts Corn starch 1 ts Dried parsley -OR- 1 tb Fresh parsley -- snipped 1/2 ts Sugar 1/2 ts Dried Italian seasoning 1 ds Ground red pepper 16 oz Frozen shrimps -- peeled, - deveined Fresh parsley -- for garnish - (optional) In a 4-1/2 qt Dutch oven bring 4 cups hot water to boiling. Add pasta; cook according to package directions. Drain well. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan stir together tomatoes, corn starch, parsley, sugar, Italian Seasoning, and red pepper. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Stir in shrimp. Return to boiling and cook 1 to 3 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Serve shrimp mixture over pasta.
