                          Lima Beans And Sausage

   4      c             Fresh lima beans -- shelled
   2      c             Smoked sausage -- sliced
     3/4  c             Onion -- finely chopped
   2      tb            Bacon drippings
   1      ts            Salt
     1/2  ts            Black pepper

Put beans in 3 qt pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook
until tender. While beans are cooking, put bacon drippings, onion and
sausage in skillet and cook unyil light brown. When beans are tender,
add sausage, onion, salt, and pepper to boiling beans. Cook on medium
heat for 10 minutes.
