MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Bitok Categories: Beef Yield: 1 Batch 1 French bread loaf 1 c Milk 1 lb Ground beef 1 ts Worcestershire sauce 1/2 ts Oregano or marjoram 1 Onion; sauteed in butter 1/2 ts Pepper 1 ts Salt 1 Egg MMMMM-----------------------MUSHROOM SAUCE---------------------------- 1/4 lb Mushrooms; sliced 2 tb Butter; part oil 1 tb Worcestershire sauce 2 tb Flour 2 tb Butter 1 c Broth 1 cl Garlic; juice of Salt and pepper Dry sherry Cut bread in half cross-wise, and scoop out insides. Soak insides of bread in milk. Mix beef with other ingredients. Add bread and milk mixture. Fill loaf with mixture. Cut in 1" slices and saute in butter. Serve with mushroom sauce and red wine. Mushroom Sauce: Saute mushrooms in 2 tb butter and oil. Make a sauce of flour, butter, and broth. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Season to taste with salt, pepper, juice of 1 clove of garlic, some dry sherry, and worcestershire sauce. Add sauteed mushrooms.
