MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Crab Quiche Categories: Pastry, Cheese, Vegetables, Dairy, Seafood Yield: 8 Servings 1 Sheet refrigerated pie - crust 1 c Ementhal cheese; - shredded, divided 1/2 c Red bell pepper; chopped 1/4 c Green onions; chopped 1 tb Butter 3 lg Eggs 1 1/2 c Half & half cream 1/2 ts Salt 1/4 ts Pepper 3/4 c Flaked imitation crabmeat; - chopped Set oven @ 450 F/232 C. Unroll crust into a 9" pie plate; flute edge. Line unpricked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil. Bake for 5 minutes; remove foil. Bake 5 minutes longer. Immediately sprinkle 1/2 cup cheese over crust. Reduce heat to 375 F/190 C. In a skillet, saute red pepper and onions in butter until tender. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper. Stir in the crab, red pepper mixture, and remaining cheese. Pour into crust. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
