* Exported from MasterCook * Southwest Quiche Recipe By : The Dove's Nest Restaurant by Cindy Burch Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Dinner Pies Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 Basic pie crust recipe 2 c Monterey Jack cheese -- shredded 3/4 c Smoked turkey -- chopped 1/2 c Green chilies -- chopped 112 c Corn 1/4 c Red bell pepper -- chopped 1 1/4 c Red onion -- chopped 1/4 c Fresh cilantro -- minced 8 Eggs 1 ts Salt 1/2 ts Garlic powder 1 ts Ground cumin 1/2 ts Tabasco sauce 2 c Evaporated milk Line a 10" pie plate with the pie pastry, trimming and fluting the edge. Bake at 350 F for 5 minutes or until partially browned. Layer half of the cheese, turkey, chiles, corn, bell pepper, onion, remaining cheese, and cilantro in the partially baked crust. Beat the eggs, salt, garlic powder, cumin, and Tabasco sauce in a mixer bowl. Add the evaporated milk, beating well. Pour over the layers. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
