MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Slow-Cooker Turkey Sloppy Joes Categories: Poultry, Vegetables, Chilies, Herbs, Fruits Yield: 8 Servings 1 1/2 lb Lean ground turkey 2 md Onions; fine chopped 4 cl Garlic; minced 12 oz Jug chilli sauce 1 Jalapeno pepper; seeded, - chopped 1 tb Worcestershire sauce 2 ts Dried oregano 1 ts Ground cumin 1 ts Paprika 1/2 ts Salt 1/2 ts Pepper 2 c Monterey Jack cheese; - shredded 8 Onion rolls; split 2 md Ripe avocados; peeled, - mashed In a large skillet coated with cooking spray, cook the turkey, onions, and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, breaking the meat into crumbles; drain. Transfer to a 1-1/2 or 3 qt slow cooker. Stir in the chili sauce, jalapeno, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until heated through. Just before serving, stir in cheese. Serve on rolls topped with avocado.
