                            Quilters Beef Stew

   1 1/2  pounds        Beef stew meat
   5                    Potatoes -- bite size pcs
   9                    Carrots -- sliced
   2                    Onions -- peel/chop
   6                    Celery stalks -- cut 1" pieces
   1      package       Onion soup mix
   6      ounces        Tomato paste
   2      cups          Water
     1/2  cup           Red cooking wine -- optional

  Place all ingredients into the crockpot.  Set on medium heat.  Let the  
mixture cook no less than 6 hours.  It will cook all day while you are at  
work or play.  When you arrive home the fragrant smell of dinner being 
prepared is filling the house.
