* Exported from MasterCook * Special Company Casserole-Frugal Method Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Casseroles Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 c Potatoes 1/2 c Onion -- chopped White sauce mix 1/2 c Celery -- chopped 1 ts Chicken broth base soup 8 oz Sour cream 2 c Cheddar cheese -- grated Peel potatoes and shred in blender (I would put in a cuisinart grater) to look like hash browns; rinse with cold water. Keep covered with cold water until ready to use. Cook celery and onion in small amount buffer until tender. Using 2 cups cold water, add 1-1/2 cups white sauce mix. Cook on medium heat until white sauce is thick. Add chicken broth to white sauce mix until dissolved. In large mixing bowl, add drained potatoes, cooked onions, celery, white sauce mix, sour cream, and 1 cup cheddar cheese. Put into greased 9x13" pan.
