                        Chicken and Rice Casserole

   1      c             Rice -- uncooked
                        Salt and pepper
                        Chicken pieces
   1                    Pkg dry onion soup mix
                        Water

Place rice in bottom of 9x13" pan. Salt and pepper chicken pieces.
Place on top of rice. Sprinkle 1 package onion soup mix on top of
chicken. Spoon 2 cups of water over top. If desired, sprinkle green
pepper over all. Cover with foil.

Bake at 450 F for 20 minutes. Reduce to 350 F and bake for 1 hour.
