* Exported from MasterCook * Panned Summer Squash Recipe By : Aunt Sammy's Radio Recipes 1931 Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1/2 qt Summer squash -- diced 3 tb Butter or other fat 1 1/2 ts Salt 1/8 ts Pepper Select young tender squash, wash well, and remove the tips from each end. Cut the squash into small pieces, leaving the skin on unless it is very tough. Melt the fat in a skillet until slightly brown, put in the squash, sprinkle with the salt and pepper, cover, and cook for 10 or 15 minutes at moderate heat.
