* Exported from MasterCook II * CORN FRITTERS Recipe By : Betty Crocker's Old-Fashioned Cookbook Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Side Dishes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Vegetable oil 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vegetable oil 2 eggs 1 can (16 oz) whole kernel corn -- drained Heat oil (3 to 4 inches) in Dutch oven to 375F. Mix remaining ingredients except corn with hand beater until smooth. Stir in corn. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls into hot oil. Fry about 5 minutes or until deep golden brown; drain on paper towels.
