  16      Ounces        CLAUSSEN Sauerkraut
   1      Cup           thinly sliced carrots
   1      Cup           chopped celery
   1      Cup           chopped onion
   1      Cup           chopped green pepper
     1/2  Cup           chopped red pepper -- (optional)
     3/4  Cup           sugar
     1/2  Cup           vegetable oil
  12      Slices        OSCAR MAYER Bacon

MIX sauerkraut, carrots, celery, onion green and red pepper. Combine sugar
and oil; pour over vegetables and mix well. Cover and refrigerate.

CUT bacon into 1-inch pieces; cook until crisp.

ADD bacon to salad immediately before serving. Makes 8 servings.
