In a saucepan, stir together the remaining 1/2-cup water and the sugar over me dium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Dissolve the gelatin in the sugar mixture and cool. Add the grapefruit juice, lemon juice, sherry and salt. Pour the mixture into an oiled 9" ring mold and chill until firm. Turn out on a platter and garnish with grapefruit sections.
