---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: PERFECT PEPPERMINT PATTIES Categories: Candies Yield: 60 Servings 1 lb Powdered sugar 3 tb Butter or margarine; softene 2 ts Peppermint extract; 2 to 3 1/2 ts Vanilla extract 1/4 c Evaporated milk 12 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips 2 tb Shortening. In a bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Add milk and mix well. Roll into 1" balls, and place on a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Chill for 20 minutes. Flatten with a glass to 1/4"; chill for 30 minutes. In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and shortening. Dip patties; place on waxed paper to harden. Yield: About 5 dozen. -----
