Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts. Combine cream cheese and sugar; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth. Add chocolate and vanilla, beating well. Stir in chopped pecans. Press chocolate mixture into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan. Chill until firm, and cut into squares. Top each fudge square with a pecan half, pressing gently. Store in refrigerator. Yield: about 1-1/2 pounds. -----
