INTRODUCTION ****************************************************************************** When all the land has come to ruin, and burnination has forsaken the countryside, only one guide will remain. My money's on my FAQ/Walkthrough for the fifth and final episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. In addition to a usual walkthrough and notes about all the extras, I've also provided hint-throughs, giving you just a little push in the right direction, leaving you with some small sense of actually accomplishing something in the game. That said, let's begin. ****************************************************************************** 2. FAQ ****************************************************************************** Q: What is SBCG4AP? A: An episodic series for the Wii and PC, featuring the characters from the popular cartoon website: homestarrunner.net (it's dot com!) Q: Do I need to be aware of the cartoons to play this game? A: It would certainly help, but it's not required. A basic knowledge of how everybody does their thing should suffice, which I provide you. Q: How can I get this game thingy? A: If on the Wii, you need to be online and have access to the Shop Channel. You can purchase this from the Shop Channel for 1000 points. If you're considerably less cool and have to stoop to getting it for the PC, simply go to telltalegames.com and purchase and download from there. Ask your parents' permission. Void where prohibited. Q: I have a problem that seems to be specific to the PC version. Can I ask you about it? A: I'd rather you didn't, since I certainly can't be crapped to pay for this game twice. I reserve that honor only for the highest in Videlectrix qualities. ****************************************************************************** 3. BASICS ****************************************************************************** Here's all the simple information for simpletons. First tip: your Wii-mote is susceptible to burnination. ============== 3A. Controls = ============== Pointer: Used to manipulate the cursor on-screen. A Button: Used to activate pointer where it's pointing. Will be used to walk towards stuff, manipulate stuff, talk to stuff, and mash stuff. B Button: Used as a cancel button. Also can be used during any dialogue scene to skip it. Warning: Skipping Strong Bad's awesome dialogue is considered a crime in multiple states and territories. - Button: Access the inventory in your pants. Most people would say "pockets". I say "pants". + Button: Check your game status, which includes your handy map of FC USA (self-drawn), your collected extra items (self-fulfilled), and your overall stats of stuff you've done (self-loathing). 2 Button: During the basic run-around gameplay, you can use this to bring up Photo Mode. In Photo Mode, you can take snapshots to save to your Wii so you can annoy people by sending them. --- Movement: Click a spot anywhere in the field and the big SB will shuffle his tape legs over there. If you double click, Strong Bad will pick up the pace a little. Also, holding down the A button will make Strong Bad try to follow your cursor as diligently as a one-legged puppy. Interaction: Any time your cursor comes upon a "hot spot", you'll see a small text blurb describing it. Click on it and Strong Bad will walk over and talk about it, to it, or try to do something with it. Dialogue: Click on any of the famous h*r characters to begin negotiations. Sometimes the conversation will be scripted and that'll be it. Other times, you'll be given a little dialogue window with topics to talk about. Furthermore, you will sometimes be given a little be-halo'd SB, or a horn-ed SB to select. These can be used to vaguely compliment or rudely berate who you're talking to, respectively. Safe to say, it's always awesome to try both. Items: Once you snag and bag an item, it will be in your inventory. You can access that item by clicking on the inventory button at the upper-left corner of the screen, or by pressing the - button. Click on whatever item you wish to play with, which will be attached to your cursor. Then, click on the object or person in the field you want to use it on for maximum mayhem! ==================== 3B. Menus/Displays = ==================== Main Menu - New Game: Start a game from the beginning. Any autosave data you have from a previous game will be erased, so be sure to log that. Save/Load: You can pick any of the three files to save your current game to, or you can load 'em up one of your previously saved games, including the recent autosave. Settings: Tweak-a-the-game. I will describe this, forthwith. Quit It: Return to the Wii Menu, you quitter. --- Settings Menu - Give Hints: You can set this for "Low", "Medium", or "High". The higher you set it, the quicker Strong Bad (or another nearby character) will occasionally interject with a hint about what you're supposed to be doing next. Subtitles: With these on, you'll be able to see and read all The Cheat's "mehs", and all of Pom-Pom's "bubbles". Pop-up Text: This is the text that lets you know of a "hotspot". You can turn it off for a serious pixel-hunting challenge. Music/Voice/Sounds: Adjust these sliders to adjust the relative volume of the auditory stuff you will experience in the game. --- Main Game Display - The top of the screen contains all the buttons you'll ever need: The three in the top left are the Inventory, Map (and status), and Photo Mode. The button in the top right scrolls up the Main Menu, which won't remove you from the action, but let you save, or tweak the settings if you wish. ================== 3C. Hints & Tips = ================== Play the tutorial for a hold-your-hand look at how your average adventure game works. If you're familiar with the concept, it's not really necessary, but there are some elements exclusive to this series you might want to know about. I don't plan on providing a walkthrough for the tutorial, as they really do hold your hand, and it really is as uncomfortable as it sounds. This is a point and click adventure, which automatically means one simple thing: point and click on EVERYTHING. Hunt everywhere for "hotspots" to interact with, use every item on everything, talk to everyone about everything. Remember, if you feel you're stuck in boring dialogue (rare as it occurs in this game), you can always mash B to skip to the next line. Your map is a nice easy way to warp around town. Although you can return to it by walking out of the current area by any stone-marked pathway, you can also use the + button or Map button in the upper-left part of the screen, select a spot, and immediately jump there. And hey, even though it's not required to get through the game, going to homestarrunner.com and viewing some of the awesome cartoons they have there may give you some ideas, or at least clue you in on the habits of these weird animal peoples. ****************************************************************************** 4. FREE COUNTRY USA ****************************************************************************** Heretofore is a quick rundown of the encountering encounters you can expect while traipsing about the game. ================= 4A. The Peoples = ================= Strong Bad - "Ohhh, holy crap..." Warrior, poet, wrestleman. Strong Bad truly is the last great guy. As the most popular character on h*r, Strong Bad rules over his Internet-based subjects with an iron fist, and a butterscotch tongue. Can often be found checking his e-mail and reasserting his status. Homestar Runner - "And then I put it... on my face!" When there's a goal that needs surmounting, you go to Homestar Runner, unless that goal involves intelligence, tact, ingenuity, memory, or basically anything mental-related. But, if you've got a race that needs running, or a sport that needs playing, he'll be there, throwing his lack of arms at the challenge. Strong Sad - "Have you seen the ghost of John?" Strong Bad's little brother, lifetime member and founder of the Dump Poets' Society. Always willing to put his best elephant foot forward, except on days when he's feeling downtrodden, depressed, or decrepit, which is pretty much all of them. Strong Mad - "I'M STRONG MAD!" This large square of a man is Strong Bad's older brother, who speaks more through his actions than his words. This is largely because he knows more actions than words. It is advised one not stand in his path, lest ye become the path itself. The Cheat - "Meh meh meh meh!" Part cheese, part anvil, all squeaky rodent thing, The Cheat is one fine- looking young man. Living up to his name, including the integral article, he's always looking to get an advantage in life, in any way possible. Marzipan - "Yeah, yeah! And I don't really like him at all!" Marzipan is unique among all the characters for one very obvious reason: she enjoys organic food. This purple-dressed stick lady is fiercely independent, or so she claims, and maintains a very consistent on/off-again relationship with Homestar. Bubs - "We can cut a demo! I'll make millions!" The finest representation of capitalism in Free Country, USA, Bubs runs the local concession stand, which supplies the populace with pretty much everything they need except psychiatric help. Also has knowledge of several funky-fresh dance moves. Coach Z - "I got problems with my feet and my back!" A well-past-his-prime athelete, old man Coach Z is a coach by day, and an aspiring hip hop artist by night. To accomplish both ends, he immerses himself in the traditional hip hop lifestyle of sleeping in the locker room, avoiding showers, and generally being a creepy old man. The King of Town - "Not talkin' about butter!" It's unknown whose authority actually pulls more weight, Coach Z's or the KOT's. Either way, neither pull much. Maintaining a castle with several loyal subjects, the King lords over not much more than his own appetite, but believe you me that he lords over it enough for everybody. The Poopsmith - "Two hundred sbemails, exhausting just to think about..." Gainfully employed by the KOT, it's easy to see why Poopsmith refuses to speak what with the job he has. In short: okay guy, crappy job. Trogdor - "...in the thatched roof COTTAGES!!!" Who the crap's this guy? Stinkoman - "Double DEUUUUUUUCE!" Ya gotta have blue hair. Strong Bad created this Japanese-based version of himself to illustrate how weird it would be, and the 20X6 world took on a life of its own. Gel-Arshie - "Six, seven, eight, nine, then!" A beloved children's product mascot, is how I'd describe Ronald MacDonald. This horrible abomination is nothing like that, and has been tormenting the airwaves of FC USA with its creepy-style shenanigans. Rather Dashing, the Innkeeper, the Peasants, the Algebros, Boxer J-- y'know what? There's a ton of extra characters playing two-bit roles in this game. Most you've seen in the other episodes, and none of them have very significant roles, so let's move on. ================ 4B. The Places = ================ The House of Strong - The starting point, or at least "central hub" of your adventures. This is totally where the action is. A lovely three-level abode, the brothers Strong all live here, and the Cheat spends most of his time here as well, catering to the machinations of the patriarch. The Field - A large field area, this scrolling zone houses several points of interest for the interested pointer: Strong Badia - Strong Bad's personal abandoned field-kingdom, which he tends to with a gracious hand. Bubs' Concession Stand - Your one-stop shop for goods, services, drinks, snow cones, and other picture postcards. The Stick - A true monument to fortitude in the face of adversity, the Stick tends to be a nice meet-up spot. Cool Car - This jaunty jalopy has moved about three inches in the last seven years, but is still the hottest ride in town. Snap Snak - This space and time warping phenomenom recently popped up in FCUSA, where those who choose to flaunt their fantastic physique get their shot at the big time. The Whale - Nine seventeen. Sever your leg please, sir. It's the greatest day. Videlectrix Mainframe - The world of video games actually seems rather sterile, with a rather friendly-looking interface to access the myriad titles of Videlectrix: Gel-Arshie's Pro Fruitboarder - The cheap-o tie-in to this dessert substance is even cheap-o-er on the inside, as you'll find out. Halfathlon - This track and field exposé might seem a bit familiar as far as scenery goes, but the rules are entirely out the window once lava and ice come into play. Peasant's Quest - The days of avenging burninated cottages may be past, but Peasantry still has a thriving social scene, and thrashing peasants. Stinkoman 20X6 - Challenge get! Make for great bonus with Stinkoman! Trogdor - A certain pivotal character is missing from this game, so it won't be accessible until you're all done. ****************************************************************************** 5. HINT-THROUGHS ****************************************************************************** The purpose of this section is to give you juuust enough of a push in the right direction, so you can at least use a small portion of that crap-heap you call a brain. They're set up in the style of UHS or "Invisihints", in the sense that you can get vague hints at first, then scroll down to get more specific hints. You won't get walkthroughs here, so go to that section if you need them, cheater. Also, I won't discuss things that have to do with the Extras in this section. ================================ 5A. Part 1: Wing-a-Ling Dragon = ================================ How do I get a handle on the Troggie video game? - Discuss the situation with Strong Sad, first. - Looks like you need to be able to get close to the machine, and you need a logic board. --- How do I get close the machine to open it up? - Only an idiot would take on Trogdor alone... an idiot... an idiot... - So, talk to Homestar about the sitch. - He's looking for his quarter. - Perhaps you got something to help find his metal quarter. - Get the metal detector from your room at the house. - The quarter might be closer to Homestar than he thinks. - Use the metal detector and walk into Homestar while using it. --- How do I get a logic board? - You'll need to call up Videlectrix. - With a phone. - Search your house. - Homestar's cell phone is in the pile in Strong Bad's room. - Use it on yourself to call them. You should be able to stumble to a logic board through the "voicemail". ===================================== 5B. Part 2: Migs and Megs of Memory = ===================================== I'm in the video game, now how can I get into Peasant's Quest? - You're gonna need to bypass the copy protection. - To do that, you'll need knowledge of your colonials, as well as the red glasses to view the answer on the code wheel. --- Where can I find Paul Revere's favorite ice cream flavor? - Well, have you asked him? - Check your house. - Well, doesn't look like you can explore much in there. You'll need the help of your Light Musket (see below). - Once you have it, you'll have to traverse your house, using the Light Musket to push away redcoat ghosts. - Search for items lying around your house, and give them to the proper colonial ghost. - The feather quill (Strong Bad's room) goes to John Hancock (Strong Mad's Room). The teabag (Strong Sad's room) goes to Samuel Adams (Basement stairs). The lantern (Strong Mad's room) goes to Paul Revere (Basement). The key (Laundry room) goes to Ben Franklin (Computer room). - You won't get the info you need, but knowing who's with what is essential for deciphering the code wheel. --- Where can I get the Light Musket? - Like most powerups, you'll find this in a box, or a crate. - You'll just need a means to get them open. - Have you searched around the field, yet? - You'll find some Snakes on the Cool Car, and Boxer Joe in the "Crates!" area near the Concession Stand. - Use the Snakes on any crate, and then you can use Boxer Joe to smash it. - Specifically, you want the lone crate in the "Crates!" area on the left side. --- How can I find red glasses? - Well, you can't specifically get red glasses. - But, you may be able to get something red that you can see through. - Have you played around with Gel-Arshie's Fruitboarder? - You can access the backstage from the Videlectrix Mainframe. - You can play the actual game once you clean your house of colonial ghosts. - Unfortunately, just playing the game normally won't get you much of anywhere. You might need to mess with the game. - Head backstage and start messing around. - Specifically, you'll want to kick up the difficulty slider, and flip the fruit lever to the red fruit. - Once you try the game now, you'll pretty much break it, and Gel-Arshie will be on your team. --- I have Gel-Arshie! Now what? - Head back into the mainframe and use him on the Code Wheel. - Now, adjust the code wheel so you see Paul Revere (with the lantern in hand) and the Lantern itself. - Finally, read the "answer". Tell the copy protector the answer. =================================== 5C. Part 3: Quests and Challenges = =================================== How do I find the Trog-Sword? - Asking around, you'll learn that Stinkoman has the Trog-Sword. - Getting into his level will require region unlocking. - Bubs can help you in this regard. - Once you save him from Marzikong. - Once you do that (see below), he'll unlock the game. - Inside, you'll notice that you're not in the action, but in the extra lives. - You might have to kill off the Stinkoman that's currently playing. - Discuss things with the monsters inside. - You'll have to convince them to take out Stinkoman. - Tell the Chorch to random-up his pattern, and the Browntant to speed it up. - Now that you're in the game, you'll have to get to the sword. Shame about all that broken stuff. - You now need to get Mista Fixit to help you out (see below on how to get him). - Use him to repair all the broken ladders and you'll reach the sword. --- How do I save Bubs? - Bubs is apparently having lady problems. - Who around is an expert on ladies? - You're going to have to save Limozeen and use them to rescue Bubs. --- How do I rescue Limozeen? - Have you looked around for anyone running a repair service? - Have you been to Peasantry, yet? - Speak to the Innkeeper and explain to him the situation. - Use him on the Limozeen Space Machine. --- How do I get Mista Fixit on my team? - Poor Poopsmith has been entranced. He needs something. - You just pretty much need to keep an eye out for this "something". - Have you been to Peasantry, yet? - Grab the "????" (pebbles) in the forest area by the pond and give them to him. He'll sign up. --- How do I get past Strong Sad? - Here's a hint: NOT by doing what he's asking. - You'll have to be a bit more direct. - Rather Dashing is in the "princess rescuing" business these days. - But, Strong Sad needs to be in peril for him to get into action. - Get the Scorpion Food from the "Halfathlon" game (see below) and use it on him. - Now, talk to Rather Dashing and use him on Strong Sad. --- What do I do in Halfathlon? - Poor Coach Z. He needs health badly. - Have you found the Medkit? - It's hiding in a crate. - Have you been to Peasantry, yet? - Use the Snakes and Boxer Joe on the crate in the Inn area in Peasantry. - You want that Scorpion Food Coach Z just tossed. - Getting across is no big shakes, but carrying the food back is another story. - That checkpoint can help, but it's not helping much where it is. - Talk to Strong Mad. He wants to earn a trophy. - Well, just meet him halfway on that. - Go to the far side (use the vine, hop the penguins) and grab the trophy, and give it to him. - Now, have Strong Mad shot-put the checkpoint to the far side. - Now, when you grab the Scorpion Food, you can use the checkpoint so it remembers what you're carrying. - Lastly, have Strong Mad toss it back to the other side, so your untimely death is a little more timely. ==================== 5D. Part 4: Mode 8 = ==================== I'm in Trogdor's Lair! Now what? - Advance! - Most enemies here have a weakness to a particular party member. - Think of who is related to whom. - Use the Space Circus Bear on the clown. - Use the Algebros on the equation. - Use Limozeen on Nebulon. - If Trogdor shows up, just bat him with the Trog-Sword. - When you face off against the KOT, just blast him a few times with the Light Musket. --- How? How do I finish TROGDOR? - This may go against everything, but ask Homestar for advice. - He mentions a "bloodstone" that can see Trogdor's weak points. - Don't you have something similar? - Use Gel-Arshie. Trogdor's weak points will be illuminated. - You can reach one easily, but the other three require some turning of the Troggie. - What gets Trogdor's attention more than anything? - That's right, a little peasant fricasee. - Toss a peasant onto any of the pedestals and Trogdor will turn in that direction. - Which may expose a weak spot. - Once you get all four, Trogdor will be finished, but you still need to escape. - How to unlock that door? - Use the KEY you've been carrying all game, of course! ****************************************************************************** 6. STEP-BY-STEP WALKTHROUGH ****************************************************************************** Okay, Cheaty McFailatGames, it seems you need it all spelled out for you, so here's the walkthrough, from beginning to the bitter end of this particular episode. I'll also bring up a few points about the Extras, but I won't go through them here. That's later. ================================ 6A. Part 1: Wing-a-Ling Dragon = ================================ House of Strong All right. To begin, head on upstairs and discussion the situation with Strong Sad. He'll give you the key to the game cabinet and tell you that you need a logic board to fix the machine (depressing an idea as that sounds). While you're in the house, head over to Strong Bad's room. Take the Metal Detector and search the pile for Homestar's Cell Phone. Head on outside and you'll tail the machine to... --- The Field Walk on up to the machine to get punched. Strong Bad will reflect on the concept, allowing Homestar to walk on up. Ask him to take over and he'll mention his lucky quarter. Use the Metal Detector right next to Homestar and he'll hork up his quarter. Pass it to him and he'll get started on... "playing". Now, to get the logic board. Use the Cell Phone on yourself and select "4". The Logic Board will be deposited near the Concession Stand. Take it, then open up the machine and install the board. ===================================== 6B. Part 2: Migs and Megs of Memory = ===================================== Things are now quite interesting in the realm. Your task now is to finish off Trogdor, as revenge for his burnination of Strong Badia. Homestar, despite being part of the UI, will actually be quite a help to you at this point. First, head inside the video game and you'll be at the Videlectrix Mainframe, the hub of all cheap (as free) games. Head right over to Peasantry (the home of all Trogdor slayers) and you'll be told you need to bypass the copy protection. For this, you'll need two things, knowledge of Paul Revere's favorite ice cream flavor, and some "red glasses" to see the answer. If you head back to your house, you'll notice that it's overrun with the departed spirits of patriots past. You're gonna have to exorcise your rights to get the essential info on Paul Revere. Head to the Field. --- The Field Head over to the Concession Stand. You might notice a little change here. Marzipan's gone ape and abducted Bubs, and she's tossing crates. Note that one knocked over a bush. For now, go to the Cool Car and check it to find some Snakes. Now, head to the exit that was created by Marzikong's crate chucking to find a big pile of them. Head to the left side of that area to find the Snake Boxer. Talk to him and he'll join your party. Now, note the lone crate near where you grabbed Boxer Joe. Use the Snakes on the crate, then Snake Boxer to bust it open, which will uncover your trusty Light Musket, for use in ghost busting. Head on back to the house. --- The House of Strong Head inside and you'll automatically pull up the musket. Inside your house are four members of the dearly departed founding fathers, as well as several lamey redcoats. Use the Wii Pointer to move the light-sight around and B to fire. Firing will increase the size of your sight. You can't destroy the redcoats, but you can push them off the screen, so do so, because if they catch up to you, they'll toss you out of the house. Any-dang-way, the object here is to find four items and give them to the proper colonial ghost. Those items/ghosts are as follows: The feather quill (Strong Bad's room) goes to John Hancock (Strong Mad's Room). The teabag (Strong Sad's room) goes to Samuel Adams (Basement stairs). The lantern (Strong Mad's room) goes to Paul Revere (Basement). The key (Laundry room) goes to Ben Franklin (Computer room). Once all items are in place, the hauntings will be eliminated, but you're still actually no closer to knowing Paul Revere's favorite ice cream flavor, but at least you can distinguish between the ghosts. Okay, while we're here, you can check out your Fun Machine and maybe try out Gel-Arshie's Pro Fruitboarder. We need Gel-Arshie's help, though, and he's not going to give it from inside the game. Head back to the Mainframe, and then to the Fruitboarder screen. --- Gel-Arshie's Pro Fruitboarder Speak to Gel-Arshie and he'll mention that in order for him to help, you need to hit the Kill Screen, so basically you need to break the game. To do this, hit the difficulty slider (near Professor Pineapple) and the lever near the fruit. This will unload tons of red fruit. Now, head back outside to play the game and you'll successfully break it, and Gel-Arshie will hop onboard. Now, head back into the mainframe. You can now use Gel-Arshie on any "answer" on the code wheel and he'll give it the red-filter treatment. To get Paul Revere's favorite flavor, spin the outer wheel until he's on top (he's holding the lantern), and the second wheel until you see the lantern. Read the answer, then give it to the copy protection guy on the screen. You can now enter the maximum medieval moshpit. =================================== 6C. Part 3: Quests and Challenges = =================================== Peasantry Speak to Rather Dashing to learn about the Trog-Sword and what he's been up to since Peasant's Quest. Seems Stinkoman has taken the Trog-Sword, but his game is region locked. While you're here, take the "????" near the lake. Next, head to the right. On the inn screen, use the Snakes and Boxer Joe on the crate to get a Medkit. Also, talk to the Innkeeper. Talk to him about the inn and he'll mention a carriage repair business. If you found Limozeen out in the Field (they crash land soon after you release Trogdor), you can bring up their plight and he'll hop aboard your cause. Lastly, note Strong Sad standing by the path. If you talk to him, he'll continually send you on endless quests with no point. You'll need another means to evict him. Head back to the Field. --- The Field Use the Inn Keeper on the Limozeen Space Machine to get their help. You can in turn use them on Marzikong to free Bubs. Bubs will unlock the regions on your game, so you can access Stinkoman. Before we go there, head to the big pile o' crates area. Give Mista Fixit the pebbles and he'll join your team, too. Now, you can head out and accept the CHALLENGE!! --- Stinkoman 20X6 Oh, how lame. You could be in the action, but you're in the extra lives. Discussing things with Stinkoman doesn't get you anywhere, so speak to his adversaries. Specifically, talk to Browntant about being slow, and Chorch about being predictable. You'll now be in the game. Unfortunately, you can't get to the sword without some help. Use Mista Fixit to repair the ladders and platforms. Climb your way up to the sword! Hoo yeah! Next up, head back to the Mainframe, and let's get our sport on at... --- Videlectrix Halfathlon Oh, poor Coach Z. Use the Medkit you got from the crate in Peasantry on him and he'll toss a ball of Scorpion Food away. Now, talk to Strong Mad, who is apparently possessed by the spirit of some shot-putter. He seems to want a trophy. Also, notice the checkpoint near the track. Tap it and you'll make a vine appear. Use the vine to cross the lava, then head to the right and jump on the penguins to cross the ice. Take the trophy (but leave the food for now) and head back and give it to Strong Mad so he joins your team. Now, use him on the checkpoint and he'll toss it to the far side. Jump back across. Now, take the Scorpion Food and use the Checkpoint so it "saves" your progress. Try to jump back with the food and you'll get stung to death, but if you have Strong Mad toss the checkpoint back over first, then getting stung to death simply means you'll be on the left side, food in hand. --- Peasantry All right. We've got a Trog-Sword and some Scorpion Food. Go talk to Strong Sad at the path to Trogdor's Lair. Ask him about a quest and he'll ask you to find a cubic item. Give him the Scorpion Food (it's close enough) and he'll be savaged by the KOTorpion. Now, speak to Rather Dashing and he'll mention that he saves princesses. Talk about Strong Sad and you can take him over to the mess going on by the path. Okay! Strong Sad's out of the way! All right, it's almost time for the final push, but before we go, we should round out our party. If you haven't grabbed them already, enlist the Algebros on the brick wall in the Field, and use the Space Circus window in the Mainframe to get the Space Circus Bear. You don't require these guys, but it will make the last run a bit easer. Head on up the path to the Lair and you'll get a bunch of Peasants and Limozeen will hop back on your party. ==================== 6D. Part 4: Mode 8 = ==================== Trogdor's Lair All right! Get ready for some FPA! First Person AWESOME! As the Paper will tell you, you're going to use the Control Pad to move around. Press B to use your current weapon, and you can also access your inventory as normal. Head on forward. As you proceed through the doors, you'll come across minions of Trogdor. You can use your weapons on them, but you'll progress faster if you use the proper party member on them. When you come across the Space Clown, use the Space Circus Bear. For the equation, use the Algebros. For Nebulon, use Limozeen. Near the end, you'll face the KOT. Blast him three times squarely with the Light Musket and that'll be the end of that run. THIS IS IT! Use the Trog-Sword on Trogdor to get things properly rolling. He's now immune to your blade. Talk to Homestar, who'll mention a "bloodstone". You do have something similar. Use Gel-Arshie to illuminate Trogdor's weak points. Slash the first one. Now, to get to the others, you'll need to turn Trogdor. To do that, use your Peasants on any of the pedestals. You need to put peasants each on the front-left, back-left, and back-right pedestals to get each of Trogdor's weak points. Once you hit all four, he's dragon doody. To escape, use the Key on the door. Congratulations! You defeated that dragon that you yourself unleashed! Now, play all the episodes again! ****************************************************************************** 7. COLLECTIBLES ****************************************************************************** In this section is a list of all the stuff only nerdcore nerdulars care about. Spirits of '76 - Once you clear the house of ghosts, go to the forest of Peasantry and use the photo function to take a picture. 5. Dryghost - In Peasantry, before you give Strong Sad the Scorpion Food, take the "Mysterious Pixel" on the left side of the forest and use it on the "Scorpion Monster" (KOT). Take the resulting broken item. 2. Fudgeclank - On Extended Play, use a Peasant on the mysterious bush just left of Strong Badia. 3. Subtlefuge - Use Gel-Arshie on the pool of lava in Halfathlon. 4. Swampslash - Once you clear the house of ghosts, go to the basement and use the photo function to take a picture while Strong Bad's on the right side. =========================================== 7C. Videlectrix Good Graphicketeers Cards = =========================================== 1. Anti-Social Angus - Check the box in the inn area in Peasantry. 2. Carpal Tunnel Connie - Check the bookcase in Strong Sad's room. 3. French Press - Once you clear the house of ghosts, go to the outside of the Snap Shak and use the photo function to take a picture. 4. Junk in the Trunk - Use Gel-Arshie on the mailbox outside the House of Strong. ==================== 7D. Costume Pieces = ==================== Pixel Boots - Under the cardboard box in the forest in Peasantry. Pixel Hat - Near the Concession Stand is a crate. Use the Snakes and Boxer Joe on it. Stinkoman's Boots - Once you clear the house of ghosts, go to the bathroom on the second floor and use the photo function to take a picture. Stinkoman's Gloves - Use Gel-Arshie on Bubs' Concession Stand. Stinkoman's Hair - In Stinkoman 20X6, use Mista Fixit on the left-most ladder. Trogdor Shirt - Once you have Gel-Arshie, move the code wheel to show Trogdor and the cottage, then read the answer. You MUST do this before solving the Paul Revere riddle. Secret Items: Strong Bad Shirt - Get a top Awesomeness rating! Inviso Shirt - In the Snap Shak, walk off the right edge three times to flip onto the opposite side, then walk to the spot that's under the main door to be automatically clad in... nothing. =========================== 7E. Other List-Completers = =========================== Ghosts Freed The first four are freed as part of the game. Once those are out, you'll have to find four more in the wild and take their picture. Specifically, you'll have to actually use the game's photo functionality. Press 2 to bring up the camera and take a shot. To know where to spot the ghosts, wander around until you hear moaning sounds. Snap a picture in the area and you'll free the ghosts. There are four areas to find them: 1. The bathroom in the House of Strong 2. The basement in the House of Strong 3. Just to the left of the Snap Shak 4. In Peasantry, near the lair of the KOT scorpion monster. --- Party Members Acquired Well, to be honest, you get most of these as you go through the game, anyway, so, here's the list: Algebros. - Kickin' it on the brick wall in the Field Gel-Arshie - Earn the "Kill Screen" while playing Pro Fruitboarder Innkeeper - In the Inn screen in Peasantry, after you tell him Limozeen needs help Limozeen - Use the Inn Keeper on their Space Machine to get them out Mista Fixit - Use the "????" (pebbles) from Peasantry on him Peasants - Automatically when you head up to Trogdor's Lair Rather Dashing - Once you give the Scorpion Food to Strong Sad Snake Boxer - In the "Crates!" area on the far left side Space Circus Bear - Check out Space Circus Catastrophe in the Videlectrix Mainframe Strong Mad - Give him the Trophy in Halfathlon --- Peasants Burninated This one's pretty easy. #1 is the Innkeeper, which you get automatically once he finishes fixing Limozeen's Space Carriage. The next five are in the final battle. Place one on each of the four pedestals, and give one directly to Troggie. For the last one, wait until Extended Play, then go to the Field and use a Peasant on the Mysterious Bush to the left of Strong Badia. ****************************************************************************** 8. EXTRAS ****************************************************************************** Here's all the really fun stuff that Strong Bad does when he says he's doing something constructive. =================================== 8A. Gel-Arshie's Pro Fruitboarder = =================================== Time for some surfing action! Your task is to guide Gel-Arshie, catching red fruit and performing cool tricks. Press 1 to jump and use the control pad while in the air to both guide Gel-Arshie and initiate tricks. You can press 1 multiple times to get serious air. Scoring is based on fruit and tricks. As you collect fruit, a fruit counter will start. As you collect more, your red aura will increase, allowing you to snag fruit from further away. While in the air, perform a trick and your current fruit counter will be multiplied by that amount and applied to your score. You can actually perform multiple tricks on the same fruit counter and every trick you pull will be added to the score. If you get struck with a pineapple, your fruit counter will reset to zero. If you get struck while not having a red fruit aura, you'll wipeout and lose a life. Tricks: Right Right - Nosegrab (x2) Left Left - Tailgrab (x2) Up Up - Creepy Air (x3) Up Down - Kickflip (x5) Right Up Right - Ode to a Grecian Urn (x6) Left Down Right Up - 180 Reckless Flail to Handstand (x10) Left Left Down Down - Inappropriate Tailgrab (x10) Right Down Up Left - Slimy Egyptian (x15) Left Left Left Right - I Don't Know How It Works! (x15) Left Right Down Up - Misunderstood Male Cheerleader (x15) Left Down Down Down Jump - Reverse Stainless Steel French Press (x20) Right Left Up Down Jump - 360 Flapjack to Junk in the Trunk (x25) 20,000 is the score needed to get the green on Awesomeness, so get the fruit and do as many 360 Flapjacks as possible in a ride. It's easier if you focus on one trick. Just watch for pineapples is all. It helps to get the trick out quick, then quickly jump out of the way of an incoming pineapple. ========================== 8B. Redcoat Ghost Patrol = ========================== There's not actually much to this one. Every once in a while when you're in the Field, you'll see a Redcoat Ghost pop up from behind the bushes. Take aim with your Light Musket and pop them one. You need to get eight for a total of 800 points to get the green score. There's actually an easy way to get ghosts. Simply select the Cool Car from the map, head a bit to the right of it, then wait a few seconds to see a redcoat jump right up. Once you blast him, select the Cool Car again to reset the area. ========================= 8C. Trogdor's 3D-Ungeon = ========================= Once in Extended Play, access the Trogdor game from the Videlectrix Mainframe and you can play this game. It's pretty simple, really. Just point with the Wii Remote and press A to burninate in that direction. Burninate all the peasants that pop up in this glorified version of Whack-a-mole. You get more points for successively burning peasants without missing, so make sure you don't shoot your fire off unnecessarily. 12,000 is the number you need for a green score, which isn't too hard to hit if you're conservative and don't twitch too much. ****************************************************************************** 9.
