Because this game can be played and/or completed in various different ways, this guide will follow what I have done in the past. However, it’s entirely up to you how you want to complete the game, as this is really just a reference! Enjoy! MySims is a kid-friendly version of the Sims; however, it is very different compared to its mature counterpart. Your Sims are not relying on you for their necessities and you form no true relationships with any other Sims. The object is to complete tasks for other Sims and make them happy. There are two versions of My Sims, the DS version and the Wii/PC version. Though both games are very similar, their gameplay mechanics are much different and the game’s story, though identical, is not 100% the same. This guide is specifically for the PC/Wii version. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [1.2] Version History Version 0.1 [7/28/12] I started this guide on this date. Version 0.2 [7/29/12] I worked plenty on the character information and added more info on the brief information Version 0.3 [7/30/12] I finished the character information on this date. Version 0.4 [8/1/12] I started working on the actual walkthrough. Version 0.5 [8/3/12] I got through a majority of Star Level 0. Version 0.6 [10/6/12] I achieved Star Level 1 and added information on Sims’ tasks and Best Friend rewards. Version 0.7 [10/7/12] I achieved Star Level 2 and added information on Prospecting, Fishing, and the Task Book. I also achieved Star Level 3 and 4. Version 0.8 [10/8/12] I achieved Star Level 5 and tidied up the guide a bit. I also added information on interests and their percentages. I finished the guide on this date. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [2] My Sims Brief Information --------------------------------------------------------------------- [2.1] Plot MySims’ story involves your Sim arriving at a town that used to thrive with other Sims due to a Sim that was the Master of Essences. However, the Master of Essences vanished one day, taking his magic phenomena with him. Soon, Sims began to leave the town, leaving it with only a few Sims remaining. Mayor Rosalyn believes you are the new Master of Essences and that you have the power to restore the town to its former glory! There are a total of 5 Star Levels which are completed by moving Sims in and giving them the happiest experience in your town. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [2.2] Your Sim This is your own personalized Sim. At the start of the game, you are able to pick your Sim’s gender, change skin color and the shape of the eyes. You are also able to pick your hair color and style, as well as default clothing. This Sim can reflect you or look any way you’d like it to. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [2.3] Your House This is your Sim’s residence in the game. You’re able to build your own house and design the exterior. You can also design the interior and add furniture to add a more colorful and personal touch to your Sim’s home. Despite the ability to make a two-story house, your house is one-story regardless. It’s possible that if you have enough items to peak Sim’s interests, they’ll visit your house more often. It’s even possible for a Sim Party to happen if enough Sims come over! Don’t make the mistake I’ve made so many times, and neglect to do much with your house. It’s a really great and fun feature, especially when you unlock new things to put inside and decorate to your liking! --------------------------------------------------------------------- [2.4] Your Workshop This is where the magic happens! Your workshop is usually right beside your house and is where you can build items according to different blueprints you receive throughout the game. You’re able to design the exterior of the workshop. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [2.5] Your Garden The garden is a special place for your Sim that is accessed a bit further into the game. The garden has many Essences for grabs in the trees and also has plenty of lots for you to build houses for extra storage. You cannot move other Sims onto these lots however. By taking the train in the town, you can reach the your garden, an online garden where you can meet other people’s Sims, as well as a friend’s garden. There’s even a second workshop for you to build things in! --------------------------------------------------------------------- [2.6] Gameplay This version of MySims is identical to the Wii version and can be used for that version as well, just apply the Wii’s controls to the Wii version. Using the keyboard, you can maneuver your Sim. The up key moves your Sim north, the down key moves your Sim south, the left key moves your Sim west, and the right key moves your Sim east. You can also use the W, A, S, and D keys or press and hold the right-click on the mouse and drag in the desired direction. You can zoom in and zoom out by using the R key (zoom in) and the F key (zoom out). You can also use the scroll wheel on the mouse. The C key resets the camera. Press the Enter key to interact with Sims or other objects. A diamond appears above your Sim’s head when you’re able to interact with something. The Z key allows you to cycle through interactions when the interaction menu has appeared. Pressing the C key centers the camera when on the interaction menu. To shake a tree, click and hold with the mouse and move the cursor back and forth rapidly. To pick up an Essence, have your Sim walk over it or click on it with the mouse. The spacebar pauses the game and brings you to the menu. This menu allows you to save your game, exit the game, go back to the main menu, or adjust options. The V key opens up the map screen. It can also be accessed by the map button in the lower right corner of the screen. You can scroll around the map using the arrow keys and place a map marker by clicking on an area on the map. To access your item menu, press the G key or click the book icon in the upper right corner. To access the Task Book, press the T key or click the Task Book icon. To access the backpack, press the B key or click the backpack icon. You can exit the pause menu by pressing the Esc key. To take a photo and save it to your computer press the F1 key. The game mainly follows your Sim completing tasks for other Sims. For finishing these tasks, your Sim will earn a cash reward consisting of the Sim currency referred to as Simoleons (§), as well as a new blueprint for an item. The further you progress, the more Sims arrive in your town. Each Sim falls under one of the six categories, Studious (A green smiley with a hat and glasses), Cute (A pink bear symbol), Spooky (A purple ghost symbol), Geeky (A blue robot symbol), Fun (A yellow smiley with a party hat and horn) and Tasty (An orange turkey leg symbol). These categories make a huge difference when taking in consideration what Essences you use for items they want. Each Sim has a particular interest preference over another, be sure to pay attention to this. While Sims are each separated into six categories, they are also separated into two types. There are Townie Sims that just act as residents, as well as Commercial Sims that bring a business to your town. All Commercial Sims offer a different business to your town, which is useful for attracting other Sims. The meter in the top left is your Star Level meter. This increases each time you help out and move Sims into your town. When the meter fills all the way, another Star is added to the rating and your town will advance to the next level. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [3] Sims --------------------------------------------------------------------- [3.1] Interests All the Sims in MySims have main interests, secondary interests, and dislikes. These interests are separated into 6 categories; Cute Tasty Fun Spooky Geeky Studious Each Sim has a primary interest, and a secondary interest, but also an interest they particularly dislike. There are many different combinations of primary and secondary interests! --------------------------------------------------------------------- [3.2] Interest Percentages Your town’s interest comes out to a percentage, depending on what kinds of Sims live there and what their main interests are. Getting 100% for a certain type of interest is important if you’re interested in seeing the Uber Sims. These Sims gives out rare and valuable blueprints when you befriend them! There are 6 Uber Sims; Mel (Spooky) Star (Geeky) Hopper (Cute) Ikara (Tasty) Bob (Studious) Daryl (Fun) The majority of the town’s interest percentage comes from the Sims that move in and the percentage of how well their house suits that particular interest. To insure that a house gets 100% of a type of interest, you must use only that type of item when building the house. For example, a Studious interest home would do best with a LOT of columns, statues, and other architectural features. While the exterior of the home makes up for a lot of that percentage, the interior is a factor as well. When building furniture for Townie Sims, be sure that the furniture pertains to their main interest, if not their secondary interest. Painting the furniture completely with Essences related to their interests will provide a huge boost in the percent. However, you can only add 30 pieces of furniture to their home and only 10 decoratives. Your Sim’s house also acts as a factor of interest. The Essences, decorative, and other exterior designs will add to the town’s percentage. The same goes for your Sim’s workshop, but the percentage is smaller than your Sim’s house would be. *Note: The percentages don’t add up to a whole. All the interests can be at max simultaneously. --------------------------------------------------------------------- [3.3] Rosalyn Rosalyn is the mayor of the town in the game. When working on a blueprint, a ghost outline shows you where to set up the pieces to make the item, however, you can make it any way you’d like to. Blueprints can be obtained from other Sims. Many of these blueprints come from completing a task for them or becoming their best friend. [6.2] Decoratives
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Decoratives are neat little objects you can use to decorate your
home. You often receive them after completing all the tasks for a
Commercial Sim, but you can also receive them after becoming best
friends with a Sim. Only 10 decoratives can be in your Sim’s house at
once, as they clutter up the space in your Sim’s home.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[7] Planting
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[7.1] Planting
Planting is a basic activity in the game. Trees are found throughout
the game, mainly growing Essences. With these Essences, you’re able
to plant a tree anywhere where there’s a dry-looking patch of land. A
tree can also be dug up and replaced with something else. If there’s
a certain Essence that you need more of, plant a tree of it!
To plant, an option for it should appear when you approach a dry
patch of land. Select it and click on a plant type Essence to plant a
tree that blooms those Essences. Sometimes, this is a better
alternative and makes that particular Essence easy to come by.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[8] Building
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[8.1] Buildings
In this game, you’re required to do quite a lot of building, mainly
for Sims that need housing. By asking a Sim to move in at the hotel,
you gain access to building by approaching any empty lot. In the
building mode, you are given a checkered plot of land where you can
place building bases and other accessories to the lot. Some lots are
smaller than others, but even so, the lots aren’t very big. Anyways,
the small yellow area lets you know where the front of the building
is. By cycling through with the arrows, you can view your options as
far as building bases, windows, doors, roofs, yard accessories,
building accessories, etc. As you progress and meet new Sims, your
options expand. For commercial Sims, it’s required that their
building have a sign to let other Sims know what the building is. As
for Townie Sims, their houses need a sign to let other Sims know what
type of Sim they are. The house can only be two stories high, and
some objects will not be able to overlap. You can change the color of
the base and the roof using the paint mode. By clicking with the left
and right clicks, you will be able to cycle through a variety of
colors and textures. Also, be sure to make sure that a Sim’s house
has items that represent their interests. A Sim that’s Spooky isn’t
going to care much for dolls or flowerbeds on their home, or a Sim
that’s Tasty isn’t going to care much for columns and architecture.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[8.2] Objects
Another essential to the game is building objects for other Sims. As
you advance in the game, Sims will ask favors of you, which is key to
reaching the next level. These Sims will request a piece of
furniture, in which they give you a blueprint for and expect it to be
made with a certain amount of a particular Essence. How do you build
you may ask? Well, your Sim owns a workshop that they can create
these objects in. Your workshop works similar to building houses, but
it’s a bit different. Depending on the blueprint, a ghost of the
design for the furniture will be set on a circular base. By cycling
through with the arrows, you can see the different block shapes that
are needed to build. The ones highlighted in green are the basic
blocks necessary to build the desired object. If the snap mode is
enabled, picking up these blocks and dragging them to the ghost will
snap the block in its correct spot. However, some of the blocks
cannot overlap each other or disturb the design. The paint mode
allows you to cycle through a variety of colors and textures, but the
Essence paint allows you to use a texture based on a particular
Essence. This is the most basic way to implement Essences into the
design. Another way is to add the physical Essence itself and place
it on the design. All objects made in the workshop are saved in the
inventory.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[9] Prospecting
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[9.1] Prospecting
Prospecting involves using a detector device to find things hidden
underground. This is key to finding some Essences! If you walk near
an area where there are crystals in a patch on the ground, you’ll
have the option to prospect. The device makes a sound at a certain
frequency when it detects something. No frequency means nothing is
nearby. A blue, slow frequency detects something. A yellow, medium
frequency detects something nearby. An orange, quick frequency
detects something extremely close. And a red, fast frequency detects
something right underneath you. After it flashes red, you’ll have the
option to dig up whatever is underground. And that’s how you
prospect!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[10] Fishing
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[10.1] Fishing
Fishing is another way to get Essences, mainly marine types. By
approaching any body of water, you have the option to fish. When a
crop of bubbles appear at the water’s surface that means an Essence
is there. Use the left click on the mouse to cast your line and pull
the mouse back to yank in your catch.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[11] Essentials
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[11.1] Task Book
The task book is where all the tasks you receive from various Sims
are kept as a checklist for you to use.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

[11.3] Relationship Book
The Relationship Book keeps track of the relationships you hold with
various Sims in your town. This book provides a bit of information
about the Sims. The different smiley faces tell how you and that Sim
are familiar with each other. The yellow neutral face means you’re an
acquaintance and are neutral with that Sim. The green happy face
means you’re a friend of that Sim and generally have a good
relationship. The green grinning happy face means that you and the
Sim are best friends. By being nice to these Sims, their relationship
with your Sim improves. A Sim can never be your enemy nor can they be
higher than a best friend.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[11.4] Backpack
The Backpack acts as your inventory. Inside is where your Essences
are kept, as well as any items you’ve created in your workshop.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[11.5] Blueprint Book
The Blueprint Book is where all your obtained blueprints are kept.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[11.6] Essence Book
The Essence Book records all types of Essences you’ve discovered in
the Town. They are separated by category.

[12] Best Friend Rewards
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[12.1] Best Friend Rewards
These are blueprint rewards that are given after becoming best
friends with Townie Sims. Because these Sims don’t request you with
tasks, you may have to take it upon yourself to make things for them
as gifts, but also frequently talk to them and join in on their
activities. The rewards are as follows;
=Buddy=
Reward: Sculpture – Fireplace
=Patrick=
Rewards: Refrigerator – Rounded
=Violet=
Rewards: Flower Stand – Totem
=Clara=

[13] Star Level 0: Welcome to Your Town!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
[13.1] Rosalyn’s Welcome
When you start the game, you’ll be brought to the introduction story.
Rosalyn will take a moment to tell you about the history of the town
you’re moving to. She starts by saying the town used to be a unique
and lively town with many essentials to suit the interests of the
different Sims that lived there. Rosalyn explains that this was
because of a mysterious Sim with the power to use Essences to build
great things. One day, the Sim vanished, taking all its’ greatness
with them. The town underwent a change and lost all of its charm.
Sims began to move away, despite Rosalyn’s pleas to stay. Luckily,
she’s heard that a new Sim is arriving that supposedly has the power
of the Essences. And that Sim is yours!
From here, you’re brought to the Sim creator. Here you can pick what
your Sim looks like, what your Sim’s voice is like, your Sim’s
clothing and accessories, and of course, a name. To change hair,
clothing, the mouth, and eyes, click on those parts of the Sim to
cycle through the different options. Your Sim’s complexion and hair
color can be changed by the two buttons on the top left panel. You
can also randomize your Sim’s qualities by pressing the bottom button
on the left panel. Below that is the voice changer. Here you can pick
which voice type you’d like, as well as how high or low the pitch of
that voice is. On the tab in the top right, you can choose glasses
and add facial marks to your Sim. A name can be given to the Sim by
clicking the button at the bottom left. The Sim can reflect you or
anything you’d like! When you’re ready, click the button in the
bottom right to continue with the game.
You’ve arrived at your town! Before you can jump in and get to
explore, you have to meet Mayor Rosalyn at the Town Hall. Your Sim
will walk there automatically. Once inside, find Mayor Rosalyn and
click on her. The option to talk will appear. Go ahead and do so.
Rosalyn will give you a warm welcome to your town and ask if you’ve
signed your resident registration form yet. You’ll need it filed to
be recorded as a citizen. Don’t worry, all you have to do is click on
Rosalyn again and select the “Give Form” option. Great! With the
documents given to Rosalyn, she can now take you to your new home.
Rosalyn will leave and wait outside so she can lead the way. Exit the
Town Hall and she’ll say that the town’s a bit run down and there
aren’t many Sims living here, but she knows you have the power to
restore the town’s charm and luster. As she leads the way, you’ll see
the bellhop who works at (and manages) the local hotel. You’ll meet
him later. As Rosalyn brings you to your house, unfortunately, you’ll
both find that there’s no house there. That means you’re going to
have to build your own house!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[13.2] All Settled In
You’re brought to the building creator. Your workspace is the
checkered platform. The building can go anywhere on that space as
long as it isn’t too large. Your building options are set out in
front of the platform. The arrows show you even more options! You can
choose from different roofs to bases to accessories to windows to
lighting. What you choose says a lot about your Sim’s personality and
adds to a percentage of what the town’s main interests tend to be.
The two buttons on the top left panel allow you to change colors of
parts of your house and select the different options available. The
gray hexagon shows you a percentage of what interests are conveyed by
your house depending on what items you choose. If you want to remove
an item from your house, drag it to the trash can button that
appears. If you want to rotate an item, select it and rotate it using
the arrow keys. When you’re done designing, click the door button in
the top right corner. After building, Rosalyn will explain how rare
your ability to use Essences is and wants to try out your powers in
action. She’ll lead you to the garden, give you 2 Red Apple Essences,
and tell you to shake the trees to get the apples. You’ll have
obtained some Red Apple Essences! After getting 10, return to Town
Hall and talk to Rosalyn. She’ll be happy to see you completed the
task and then explains that you can use your workshop to build
things. Head back outside and she’ll take you to your workshop. Just
like your house was, it’s non-existent right now. Build up your
workshop the same way you did with your house! Afterward, Rosalyn
will ask you to build a chair. In your workshop, follow the ghost
guidelines to make a chair using the blocks in front of you. Use the
arrow keys to rotate the needed blocks to the correct positions. The
buttons at the top allow you to turn the ghost on and off, paint the
furniture, enable or disable snap mode, and enable or disable slide
under mode.
After completing the chair, it’s time to put the chair in your house!
Rosalyn will take you inside your home. There isn’t much, but there’s
a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. As far as
furniture, there’s a wooden table and chair, a couple of countertops,
and some bedroom furniture. You’ll be able to get blueprints for some
really cool stuff as you progress in the game. Press the “Decorate My
House” button in the lower right corner. In this mode, you’ll be able
to decorate your home by adding new flooring or wall textures, as
well as move furniture, and place furniture you’ve created into your
home. Click on the backpack button to access the furniture you’ve
made. Drag the chair into your home and click to place it anywhere
you’d like. The chest button is where decorative are kept. The top
two buttons allow you to move furniture and change textures on the
walls and floors. After placing the chair, click the door button to
exit the decorate mode. Rosalyn will have taught you the basics and
rewards you with a few blueprints to get you started. She mentions
having a job for you. Congratulations, you’ve completed the tutorial!
*Note: Now would be a good time to save your game to insure that you
don’t have to go through that again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[13.3] Check Out the Town
Go ahead and visit Rosalyn at the Town Hall and talk to her. She’ll
explain that she needs a podium so that she can deliver her important
speeches to the town. She’ll give you the blueprint and requests that
you add 4 Red Apple Essences to the podium’s design. With that,
return to your workshop. At your workshop, you’re given two options
“Work on a Task”, which allows you to create something for another
Sim, and “Create an Item”, which allows you to create something for
your home. Select the first option and click on Mayor Rosalyn’s
picture. Click the podium on the checklist to get started. Build a
podium for Mayor Rosalyn, but you must also incorporate 4 Red Apple
Essences into the design. You can either place the Essences
physically on the item or apply to the item through a texture.
Personally, the textures look better for some things, but it’s up to
you. Click on the paintbrush and you’ll be brought to the textures
and paint mode. The rainbow bucket has your basic colors, but the
bucket with the shapes is the Essence textures. Select the big
inventory button and you’ll see the Essences you do have. You should
have at least 10 Red Apples from earlier. After applying the
Essences, select the door and you’ll have completed your task. Bring
the podium to Rosalyn at the Town Hall. Approach her and select the
“Give Stuff” option. You’re brought to similar mode as when you
decorate your home. You’re able to decorate the Town Hall the same
way, but it should probably reflect that particular Sim’s interests.
Take the podium from your inventory and place it somewhere in the
Town Hall. Rosalyn will thank you and give you a blueprint for the
chairs in the meeting room. She will also give you a potted plant, a
decorative, for your home. Exit the Decorating mode and Rosalyn will
suggest you check on Poppy and see if she needs help in her flower
shop. Exit the Town Hall and walk towards the right towards the
pinkish building with lots of flowers. Go inside and talk to Poppy,
the girl with the pigtails. Poppy will explain that she needs a
flower stand because she’s running out of room for her flowers.
She’ll give you the flower stand blueprint and request that 2 Happy
Essences be added to the design. Head to your workshop and create the
flower stand, and be sure to incorporate 2 Happy Essences into it.
Once it’s completed, return to Poppy’s shop and give it to her. After
placing the flower stand, Poppy will reward you with a table
blueprint. By talking to Poppy again, you’ll find that Poppy wants a
bed with flowers. She’ll give you a bed blueprint and ask that you
use at least 2 Yellow Blossoms. After giving her the bed, she’ll
reward you with a flower stand blueprint. Congratulations, your town
has reached Star Level 1! You’re now able to access new areas that
were boarded up before, as well as obtaining new blocks and
blueprints for your workshop!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[14] Star Level 1: Return of the Sims!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[14.1] Task Master
At this point, more Sims are ready to move into town! The hotel is
where all the Sims without residences gather. It’s located right
across from the Town Hall. Every morning, new Sims arrive at the
hotel. You can move in any of the Sims you’d like by talking to them
and allowing them to move in. The Sims that have arrived include Chef
Gino, DJ Candy Supergroove, and Vincent Skullfinder. Talk to any of
those Sims and they’ll offer to bring their commercial business to
your town. You can move them in on the empty lots throughout the
town. Just select “Move In” and click on the Sim you want in that
spot. I would highly recommend moving all 3 Sims in, as they provide
business opportunities that will attract more Townie Sims to your
town.
After moving in those Sims, you have a choice of completing some of
their tasks now, or waiting until later when you have a better
opportunity to find the Essences they want in their blueprints.
However, you do have the ability to remove the boards blocking off
the cave next to the stream. Walk towards where the desert gate is
and head to the right. The option to remove the boarding appears and
you have access to that cave. The cave is dark, but also pretty cool,
making it an excellent spot for spooky or geeky Sims. Sims don’t have
to like a particular spot you put them, but sometimes it’s easier to
have them mingle with similar crowds.
For this guide, I’m going to start by completing tasks for Chef Gino,
as he requests a stove, a table, and chair from you. Those are fairly
easy to build, only requiring Red Apples, Green Apples, and Stones.
After helping out Gino with his business, he’ll give you a reward of
a Pizza Decorative for your home. The next person to help would be
Vincent. Visit him at his museum and talk to him. Vincent requests
two sculptures for his museum, and later a desk and a chair for his
office. His last request, a sarcophagus, has Essences that are a bit
difficult to come by at this point in time. The best thing to do next
would be to visit DJ Candy and also Poppy and complete tasks for
them. Candy first asks for a stereo, while Poppy would like another
flower stand. Complete both of those tasks. Poppy will reward you
with a fern decorative for your house. After helping out so many of
the Sims, your town has now reached Star Level 2! You’ve been
rewarded with a saw to remove the logs blocking the forest as well as
obtaining some more blueprints!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[15] Star Level 2: Check in at the Hotel!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[15.1] Sims Galore
Now would be a good time to check out the hotel to see if any Sims
have arrived. The majority that arrive in this level are Townie Sims.
The Sims that have arrived so far are Clara, Nicole, and Ray. Buddy
will inform you that Sims are starting to come back and stay at the
hotel while waiting to be moved in. You’ll also be informed that the
train is now in service and traverses from the town to the gardens.
Sweet! Talk to any of those three Sims you want and move them in. By
the next day, Roger, Roxie, and Elmira will have arrived. And with
the forest region now open, you have even more empty lots. Time to
complete more tasks! Go ahead and speak with Candy (who needs a couch
and a table), Roxie (who needs an ice cream freezer), and Elmira (who
needs a bookshelf). Afterward, all Candy needs is a turntable, while
Roxie needs a refrigerator and a sink to keep the ice cream from
melting and so she can wash her hands. Elmira will need a desk and a
chair. Now would also be a good time to finish Vincent’s sarcophagus
if you haven’t already! And if you check out the hotel, Travis and
Rhonda should have arrived as well. By moving one of them in, the
town earns another star. Congratulations on reaching Star Level 3!
You now have a pickaxe to break apart boulders blocking entrances and
also gained more blueprints!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[16] Star Level 3: A Bustling Town
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[16.1] Tasks, Tasks, and More Tasks
After giving Roxie a refrigerator and a sink, she’ll need a table and
a chair. It’d also be a good idea to break the boulders blocking the
desert entry, since there will be even more Sims waiting at the
hotel. Bean, Sandra, Matt, Gordon, or Matt should be there. It’d be
wise to move them in. The Sims that you’ve probably already completed
tasks for are Vincent, Candy, and Gino. Complete the chair and desk
for Elmira, and she’ll ask for a small television so she can watch
her soap operas, as well as a couch. And if you check in at the
hotel, you’ll find that Vic Vector and Jenny have also arrived. It
would be good to move them in. Also, be sure to talk to Ms. Nicole,
as she’ll have a task in which she needs a bed. After finishing a
couple of Ms. Nicole’s tasks, make sure you finish up Elmira’s and
Roxie’s task, as these give you a huge boost on the Star Meter!
Congratulations, you’ve reached Star Level 4! Rosalyn gives you the
blowtorch, which means metal doors will be at your mercy! All the
regions are available to you now, and you’ve also gained some new
blueprints!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[17] Star Level 4: Success is Near!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
[17.1] A Cycle of Sims
At this point in the game, you’ll find that there are little free
lots left. You won’t be able to fit every single Sim into the town at
one time, so you may have to cycle. The easiest way to do so, is to
maybe cycle Townie Sims in and out, upon achieving the best friend
status with them. Commercial Sims are needed to advance to the final
Star Level, so be sure to include them into the cycle as well! Go
ahead and finish up Ms. Nicole’s tasks to increase the Star Meter a
bit. In order to increase the meter more, you’ll have to move in more
Commercial Sims if you haven’t. After moving in some more Commercial
Sims, complete their tasks. The Star Meter fills much faster when you
complete tasks for Commercial Sims over trying to make Townie Sims
happy. Besides, you can move Townie Sims back in afterward.
Congratulations, you have reached Star Level 5! Although there aren’t
any new areas or tools available for you, you have obtained another
set of blueprints and reached the town to its full potential!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-
[18] Star Level 5: A Town is Reborn!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
-
[18.1] The Town Hero
Upon achieving Star Level 5, you’ll find the Star Meter will remain
full, which means you’ve completed the game as far as the main story.
In your honor, the citizens of the town throw you a big party to
celebrate the town’s success thanks to you. Rosalyn will congratulate
you and say that even more Sims will want to move in now. The credits
will begin to roll, but afterward, you have an opportunity to build
the town monument. You can use any Essences you want to build the
monument and you can place it anywhere you’d like in your town, as a
reward for your hard work!

[19.1] Final Word
MySims is a game that you can really just play any way you’d like.
The purpose of this guide was to show you one of the many ways you
CAN play, and to possibly help those that find themselves in a rough
spot in the game. I hope I made the guide as thorough as possible! I
really had a lot of fun with this walkthrough and this game, and I
can’t wait to start my next guide! (: Adieu, my readers!
