After playing this game, and being so moved, I am helpless to resist the 
compulsion to write an FAQ for this game. Such heroism as seen in this game has 
rarely, if ever, been reproduced in current day gaming. Today's developers 
could learn a lesson or two from this old gem.

1) Characters

The Knight,

Yes, that's you! You quest for your lady love. You just let everything hang out,
and I mean everything. Other than something dangling from your head, the one on 
top of your shoulders, you're completely in the buff.

The Princess(Queen?),

She's your lady love. For her you construct a bridge, and dodge horrible 
man eating monsters right and left. 

2) Game Play

This is fairly simple. Walk to the far left edge, and press down. This will 
pick up a piece of bridge. Now walk to the far right edge of your bridge and 
press up. Repeat until across bridge. See walkthrough for the final 
instructions. All this is done as a timer goes in the center-bottom of the 
screen. Getting killed by monsters just wastes your time. So really this is 
a sort of time-attack game.

3) Monsters

The Bat,

The bat flies above you all through out the entire game. In the intro of 
the game you see the bat dropping fireballs on you. I've yet to see the bat 
do anything. 

The Croc,

The croc is your second most deadly foe. If the croc is in your path, and 
coming up, do not try to jump over his mouth. You will just land right in 
it, and your blood will fill the moat literally. After a while the croc 
becomes very easy to dodge. He just appears where you last were.

The Gremlin,

This is one of those very special monsters that you're never quite sure what 
the heck it is. Whatever it is, it's your main foe in your quest. After your 
bridge gets about 1/3 of the way done this reoccurring little red monster will 
run at you. In the earlier stages of your bridge he runs more slowly at you, 
so you must jump at him when he comes at you. If you just jump strait up you 
will die. When your bridge gets farther out it will start coming at you faster. 
When this happens you can just jump strait up, have him go under you, and 
land safely. It just takes rythem to get past this guy.

4) Walkthrough

Well now it's time to save your lady love. Follow the basic instructions in the 
two sections above. Remember that jump moves you much faster, but it's easy to
over shoot and fall off the bridge. When your bridge is complete the Princess 
will start sticking her bottom out off and on. You need to press right, against
the far a wall, and then the button when she has her bottom stick out. If you 
do this wrong you climb the tower, and then die. Once you do climb the tower 
right, press up and down as fast as you can. Soon the game is over.

Well this with this knowledge I believe just about any soul could beat this 
game now. I wish You luck on your quest
