apart from spending half of a metric day thinking about
whether or not i should be concerned about living on an
island in the baltic sea during a war scare i also happened
to stumble upon the offline first software challenge which
brought me great joy and is so well timed to what i have in
plan for me and this household as i am going offline during
march except for the connection i need during working hours

we don't have any other internet connection than using our
smartphones as hotspots so going offline revolves around
handing my phone to julia first time in the morning and
then employing her as a ferryman for when i need to ride
       the waves of the web

it is inspiring to frame this experiment around OFFLFIRSOCH
i didn't even think about several things that in this light
feel less like weird albeit deeply ingrained habits and
more like rube goldberg machines. for example i use gitea
hosted on a vps in germany to sync things between my two
computers. of course that won't work when i go offline...
