       it's done, i have shipped the final update
       a few pieces of shrink tubing around a select few strands
       inside this tangle to make sure that they won't cross
       a web app that is used for manually hammering out 
       live captions and transcriptions 
       according to swedish accessibility regulations
       
       and i myself authored this piece of horror
       
       the ui holds state for a form
       the ui may pre-query the server for things like conflicts
       valid data gets sent to the server
       the server does a pirouette and returns the data validated
       the ui receives the valited data and updates a cache 
       
       speed/responsiveness is almost as important as sustenance,
       shelter, protection from predators
       if the round trip time is more than 500ms
       someone will make a post in a usergroup on facebook
       because to them "the shortform doesn't exist"
       or "[program] is weird today, anyone else experiencing..?"

       i updated the program to cache data pre-emptively
       the only weird behavior that i can think of it introducing
       is if someone expects to split their work between devices
       
       now let me in peace redo this whole application
       without an amphetamine habit spiralling out of control
       without the uncalled for legal threats
       without inflicting on it
       every imaginable infant disease and beginner's mistakes
