# unit prefixes so, like how people use the 'v' in voltages without whole parts in place of the usual separator between whole numbers and fractional parts (like, 3v3 for 3.3 volts) maybe something similar should be done for raw byte values? like instead of doing 78901234567 bytes, you would put 78g901m234k567 bytes (this assume power of 10 kilo, mega, etc) so if you want the exact byte value but don't want to count digits, you can see that 78901234567 is 78 gigabytes and some change. guess this would work with any other numbers that can have similar modifiers. 1k456m for ~1.4 km... I guess you'd be able to just stop at whatever precision you want too and then put the unit as the last character. 78g654mb might be a bit awkward if you're doing larger and smaller than 1 unit because at the decimal point you'd put the unit? 24k567v123 for ~24kilovolts smaller-than-1 stuff might be a bit awkward too. 3v333m333u I guess it might be a bit redundant, but the unit could be put next to the number again. 3v333m333u volts? I dunno.
