# found some old stuff stuff that was already old when I got it. I went over to where I have a storage building full of stuff I've hoarded and grabbed a few things to bring to the new building that I have different stuff I've hoarded. I expect most of the stuff I got today might be of interest to internet nerds. I guess I'll do this in list form. ## OS/2 Warp version 3 installation 3.5" floppy disks. I had opened it at one time, and the front of the box was missing and the OS installation floppies were unwrapped, but inside the box was another box that contained a "Bonus Pak" that was still sealed and various documentation and advertisements and stuff. Kind of entertaining. Making backups of all of these disks is on my todo list I guess. Although I think I found copies on archive.org so it won't be too sad if I don't. => media/2024-03-10_notice-to-users-of-internet-services.jpg [img] => media/2024-03-10_sealed-os2-bonus-pak-floppies.jpg [img] ## IBM PC a 5150 I think. has two 5.25" floppy drives... I just remembered I forgot the monitor. shit. it might not be fucked, but it probably is. I also forgot the keyboard. I plugged it in and flipped the switch. no magic smoke, but it did have a kind of unhappy-sounding single long beep. then I turned if off. => media/2024-03-12_IBM-PC-label.jpg [img] => media/2024-03-12_IBM-PC-lotsa-chips.jpg [img] => media/2024-03-12_IBM-PC-motherboard-gnarly.jpg [img] => media/2024-03-12_IBM-PC-motherboard-wide.jpg [img] => media/2024-03-12_IBM-PC-ports.jpg [img] ## VCR just a cheap DVD/VCR. hopefully it works and I can rip some VHS with it. I plugged it in and it lit up, but none of the buttons appeared to do anything until I opened the DVD flap by hand, and smoke started to come out. quickly unplugged that booger. => media/2024-03-12_VCR-DVD-front.jpg [img] => media/2024-03-12_VCR-DVD-back.jpg [img] ## box of mostly commodore 64 magazines at least one dieHard magazine and at least a coule dozen RUN => media/2024-03-12_magazine-box.jpg [img]
