Last day in Europe, or last full one at least. Since I'm traveling all day
tomorrow I took it a bit easier. I went out for a walk, stumbled into the
gardens again, had breakfast at a coffee shop I went to near there. I had my
East and West mixed up so my exploration "east" quickly ran into the Vltava,
cutting my morning wander a little shorter. While bouncing around I accidentally
stumbled into the Museum of the Czechoslovak Legions, which was neat. I
appreciate how fat of a guide book they give you and there were a bunch of
artifacts. I could complain about how it was mostly just artifacts with no
context, but I couldn't read the context plaques even if they were there so
it worked fine for me. It obviously had a perspective to it and wanted to honor
the legions which are obviously a big part of the Czech foundational myth but
they weren't scribbling evil moustaches on the Austrian officers or anything,
not that their faces had much room for scribbled moustaches in the first place.

One thing I've forgotten to mention which is nice about Prague: it doesn't have
that old city smell. In Berlin, Tokyo, Philadelphia, etc. you occasionally get
a hit of sewage, just since the sewers are so old I suppose. I haven't gotten
that here, I think because the terrain is hilly enough that it doesn't have
any low spots to accumulate in. The hills do make walking a bit more tiring
than in the other cities, but the views make it pretty worth it.

Went and had a burger for dinner, and a good one. I have this weird calling
towards foreign interpretations of American food, mostly because I find it
really funny. 3/10 for (as far as I know,) the only cheese steak place in Czech
but the burger place today was great, and the fries were fantastic.

Rest of the night's gonna be pretty chill, just resting up for all the running
around tomorrow. I'll probably get some coffee and baked goods for breakfast
then head to the airport. It'll be something like 12 hours of flying but at
least I don't have a layover in the US. They make you go back through security
there which I don't think I've seen in other countries? If I remember right in
Narita customs dumped me in where the domestic flights were but I may be
wrong. I think Berlin was also similar.
