# RawTextClub Blues

       A couple of weeks ago I tried to log into my account on RawTextClub, and kept
       getting a key error. Eventually I figured out that the entire server had nose
       dived and was completely re-built, losing all data and accounts in the process.
       
       I emailed requesting a new account and was able to get back on, starting anew by
       building up my Gemini capsule. Last night I happened upon a gab post about the
       DeLorean Time Machine [1]  which is like an archive.org for Geminispace. Pulling
       up my capsule from the archive allowed me to re-create it and now it's back to
       the state it was before.
       
       Usually I'm good at keeping backups of things, and it was a mistake to have the
       only copy of the capsule on RTC and very lucky that something like DeLorean
       exists. As soon as I had the capsule back I immediately rsync'd it to my local
       server and put it into a proper git repo and my regularly schedule backups.
       
       I should probably do the same thing with this phlog, as these files only exist
       on The Soviet. I've resisted doing that though since that means I would have to
       develop some type of system to keep it all in check, when really I just want
       a quick place to put down a phlog post and not think about much else.
