Localism

       What is <<localism>>? How does it relate to <<globalism>> or 
       <<cosmopolitaism>>? These are important questions to ask. The 
       questions and their answers are shaped by our understanding of 
       ourselves. And, of course, our understanding of ourselves is 
       shaped by these ways of thinking. Figuring out how to get a handle 
       on these ideas and practices is the concern of these short essays.
