Master Tracks Pro 4.6 Software Bonus Disk

This Software Bonus Disk contains supplemental MCI Drivers, the Autodesk
Animation Player and sample "QuikTunes" MIDI Files. When you run the
Setup program on this disk, which installs the Animation Player and the
MIDI files, use the same drive and directory that was used when Pro 4
was installed. This would be C:\PRO4 unless you made a change. The MCI
drivers are not installed by the Setup Program since they must be
installed by using the "Drivers" applet in the Windows' Control Panel.
Also, if you want to use the Autodesk Animation Player or MCI driver to
play animations in the 320x200 full screen mode then you must add the
following section to your WIN.INI file...

[AAPLAY Animation]
FullScreen=aavga.dll

This will allow you to display animations in 320x200 full screen mode on
most standard VGA display adapters.

USING MCI DRIVERS AND COMMANDS

This versions of Pro 4 allows you to embed MCI commands in your MIDI
sequence. Using MCI can be very complex, as new devices and file formats
are being supported every day. In general, however, a "driver" must be
installed using the "Drivers" applet in the Windows 3.1 Control Panel to
play MCI supported devices or files. Currently, the most common use for
MCI in a MIDI sequencer is to play .WAV audio files via the MCI wave
audio driver (this is installed when you install Windows 3.1 if you have
a supported audio card installed). Also included with Windows 3.1 is an
MCI driver for playing CD audio disks on supported CD-ROM drives.

On this Bonus Disk, we have also included MCI drivers for playing
Autodesk animation files, MacroMind Director style animation files
(Microsoft Multimedia Movies) and Pioneer Videodisk players. To install
these drivers choose "Add Unlisted or Updated Driver" from the "Drivers"
applet in the Windows' Control Panel. Insert the Bonus Disk into the
appropriate drive when prompted then click OK.

The Bonus Disk also contains some sample animation files that can be
played by using the Autodesk Animation Player or MCI driver. These are
short sequences that are designed to be looped many times to achieve the
desired effect. The easiest way to get these animations to loop when
using MCI commands in Pro 4 is to first create an animation script file
by using the Autodesk Animation Player and then play the animation script
from Pro 4 using MCI commands.

Using the MCI capabilities of Pro 4 is detailed in the appendix of the
manual or in the addendum that came with this package.

Passport would like to thank the Autodesk Corporation for allowing us to
include the Autodesk Animation Player, MCI driver, DLL and sample files
on this Bonus Disk.
