                            About the creation and the
                                  rise of Zeus.

When the earth was still young, it was ruled by huge monsters called titans.
The greatest of titans was Cronus, he was lord of the universe.
Cronus was told that one of his children will take his place and banish him,
he decided to fight his destiny by swallowing his children. But his queen,
Rhea, mannaged to hide one of their children. This child was called Zeus.
When Zeus grew up, he forced his father to disgorge his brothers and sisters.
Then started a great war, Zeus and his brothers and sisters against Cronus
and the titans. At the end, Zeus won, thanks to the help of Prometheus the
titan, who was the wisest of titans and decided to join Zeus.
And so, Zeus dethroned Cronus, Zeus' brothers and sisters became the high gods,
their children became the gods, and Zeus himself became king of the gods.
Cronus and the titans were locked inside the earth in a stone prison.

The story of the gods' war
and the tales of Hercules and Xena.

The empire of Greece was divided into 6 major countries- The majestic land of
Athens, the fearsome land of Sparta, the peaceful land of Apollonia, the great
land of Corinth, the weak land of Thebes and the holy land of Olympia.
In the land of Olympia was a mountain knowen as mount Olympus, on top of the
Olympus lived the gods, the rulers of the Greek empire.
The gods were ruled by Zeus- god of lightning. He was married to Hera, goddess
of the sky. They both held great artifacts of power and magic.
All the gods were one big family. The other major gods were:
Poseidon- Zeus' brother. God of the sea.
Hades- Zeus' brother- God of death and lord of the underworld (the realm of the
dead).
Apollo- God of the sun.
Eras- God of war.
Aphrodita- Goddess of beauty and love.
Hephaestus- God of volcanos and metals.
Athena- Goddess of wisdom.

The world was peaceful. The mortals built temples for the gods all over the
land, sacrifices were made and the gods were pleased.
Then came times of war upon the Greek empire. Zeus cheated on his wife with a
mortal woman and he had a son- Hercules, the strongest man in the world.
Hera was angry at Zeus. When Hercules was not a child anymore she began with
her revange. She lead huge armies of giants and titans and conquered mount
Olympus. Hera won the support of some of the gods, she sent huge armies over
the empire in order to conquer it. King Sizifus of Corinth and King Jason of
Argo lead their armies in the name of Hera. Zeus refused to fight, he said he
would never fight against members of his family but rumors spread across the
empire saying that Zeus has gone rusty and he is no longer as strong as he
used to be. Zeus and Eras made an alliance, they both agreed to choose a
champion that will lead their forces against Hera. Eras chose Xena- A young
mortal warrior, famous among the barbarians but unknowen among the gods, Zeus
chose Hercules. Xena conquered the land of Sparta and lead its armies against
the mortal allies of Hera- King Sizifus and King Jason. She achieved great
victory- Jason was killed defending his home country and Sizifus was exiled
from the land of corinth. Hercules came to the city of Athens and, with the
help of Zeus, won the support of its leaders. Hercules lead the armies of
Athens against the immortals. He passed through a secret passage in the
underworld and surprised Hera at mount Olympus. Hercules defeated Hera in a
battle that was knowen as "The revange of mankind".
And so the war of the gods was over and peace came to the land. Hera was
imprisoned in a cave near mount Olympus never to be released.
Our story begins 10 years after the war of the gods...
